I just found my most fun character. I love playing him (though I'm not one of those people that pick one character and play them all the time) right now he's a lvl 10 Arcane Hierophant. I love being able to buff myself passing it off to my dire wolverine that I ride into battle casting spells off of him and just causing havoc and then jumping off of him to wildshape and causing even more dasterdly havoc.

So what's everyone's most fun character (Note I said fun not OMGWTF overpowered character)

Also have these feats
Natural Spellcaster (That's a must have for any druid type)
Improved init (I have a low dex so this helps prevent me from going dead last all the time)
Fast wildshape (Think I'm at work right now)
combat casting (accidently put quicken wildshape that's going to come later)

It would have to be the half copper dragon dervish I played for about 2 years. He made it to ECL 15. He could fly, tumble and slash his way through badguys like a big...flying, tumbling, slashing thing. Good roleplay character too. Master of the double entendre and innuendo (requires weapon focus and finesse). :smallwink: I played him like Count Hasimir Fenring with scales. I'll miss that campaign.

I loved my rogue/wizard. Combining burning hands with slight of hand was my favourite. Mug the peasants and set their coats on fire at the same time. The DM aloud this, so I abused my rights to do so and once blew up an inn because the person saw me so I shoved the burning man into a cask of beer. Big explosion!

Um, beer doesn't explode. Not normal beer at least. Crazy Olaf's nitro-and-beer coolers OTOH

My first character was extremely fun. Fighter 2/Ninja 5/Master Thrower 5. I didn't get some of the later cool Ninja stuff, but it was worth it. What really sold the class though was my equipment. Picture this: Cloak of Arachnida (sp?) only made into a ninja gi for the body slot, Cloak of the Bat for the shoulders, and Belt of Many Hidden Pockets. Oh, and Sharn: City of Towers for the main setting. I was the DnD equivelent of Spider-Man AND Batman. Finish it off with a dragonmark that lets me use Jump once per day and I was the ultimate in platforming.

What killed the class though was bs DM calls like rolling a 1 on my very first attack roll and hitting myself in the face with a nunchaku AND taking Sudden Strike damage. :smallmad: I did more damage to myself than anyone did to anyone else.

I love my 12th level wizard, his feats include: scoring with a drow matron mother then dumping her (into the mouth of a dragon), locking a paladin in a chest and lobbing in a fireball, saving the entire party from death by mindflayer suck-ation, frozen the same paladin to a hole in the floor and then instructed the fighter and the cleric to kick him in the head til he falls through.

I don't think it needs to be said, I'm probably the best leader our little group has had.

The one in my sig, Auran d'Lyrandar.

His personality is delightfully contradictory and entertaining while still being good. His invisibility magic is fun to use, and the clever stuff I've come up with for his dragonmark are almost too good to be true. For example, I once used its gust of wind power to toss alchemical goods lying on a vendor's stall into an enemy. It was something like 3 tanglefoot bags and 6 flasks of alchemical fire. I also slammed a flying harpy down into the deck of an airship by jumping over her and using that same power. And once I get 18,000 gp to use on a magic item to enhance the control weather power, the weather for 6 miles around him will be his to control, permanently. At least, ignoring dispels.

my PLayers Option Wood Elf from the tale end of 2nd Ed. Higher AC than the paladin in magic full plate + shield wearing no clothes and wielding a pair of longswords (at no penalty no less.) Ah, the good old days where no matter what you played, you were better off as an elf.

Well, him or my first 3.0 character, a druid i made on release day. And now, nearly 7 years later, they finaly made an unarmed non-woldshaped druid friendly PrC. Guess i can finaly start playing Ashrem again.

My definite favorite is a half-orc bard/barbarian/war chanter, lvl 5 currently. I'm really having fun with roleplaying that devilishly clever (no kidding) personality and being a blend of everything. Picture a battlefield commander, but scoundrelly and "OMG I'll SMASH YOU" at the same time and that's it!

My Dwarven Barbarian/Fighter who lost his left arm due to an exploding sword incident. Basically he had 6 charisma but could do almost any charisma check he liked due to luck.

Joe Dawn

Fighter 4/Barbarian 4/Rogue 4/Gladiator 8
All stats were 11s except Charisma, which was 10.

He was (literally) a common peasant whose house got crushed and family killed by a rampaging dragon and he decided to get revenge. He originally trained as a fighter. Ultimately he got his revenge on the dragon that killed his family and retired back to his homestead.

I have even written a screenplay about him after he retires.

EDIT: And I actually played him from 1 to 12 before the campaign died. I sort of 'levelled' him after that for my screenplay. He was the luckiest character I have ever played.

One of my favorites was a gnome wizard (just general wizard, no specializations). His name is too long for me to remember off hand, but I do recall the ones he used on a regular basis: Fodoric Orlig 'Thimblehook' Tavatarr SeDekirk 'Kafoom'. He was known for a fast mouth, and a quick wit. He didn't play pranks like a typical gnome, but was quite the picture of a pack rat. Specifically, he had so many scrolls that he had either scribed, bought, or had his ward acquire for him (a young halfing who's very name struck fear into shopkeepers who knew of her ), that he eventually bought a riding dog to lug all the dang things around. In addition, since we managed to play through to 10th level, and most of the party were giving me extra shares of the loot since I kept pulling their bacon out of the frying pan on a consistent basis, Fodoric had managed to acquire enough spells to fill four spellbooks. He was like a walking library.

Glim Crazy-Grin, the Gnome sorcerer with a family fable for every ocassion. I had two players nearly wet themselves, for weeks afterwards all I had to do was whisper "little sheep" to start them off again.

My first real D&D 3.5 character was a half-orc barbarian named Krugg. He may have Int and Cha of around 8-9, but he had a 20 Str, 17 Con, and 16 Dex.

And a pet chicken named Chicken.

....
2007-07-17, 03:46 PM
Half-orc barb named "Grok".

Str- 22
Con- 20
Dex-14
Int- 6
Wis- 8
Cha- 8

He was a huge moron with a greataxe. He'd follow around the scout/order of the bow initiate and do whatever he said. If the party stopped to talk or anything, Grok got ancy and started killing things, so the sorcerer would cast dancing lights and tell Grok they were beautiful happiness faries and he should catch them.

First time that happened the whole game got stopped for about ten minutes while everyone laughed.

Probably my current character(I've only had 2). An Elan psion who continually ruins our DMs day and manages to stay alive despite getting knocked out roughly twice each battle.

DM: There's a group of undead, what do you do?
Me: Hmm, energy cone... FIRE!
DM: *sigh* ok, roll
*rolls*
DM: Wow, thats a terrible roll.
Me: How many made their saving throws?
Dm: ... Damnit... they all die...

I think I manage to deal more damage than our beguiler, cleric, wizard, fighter, or druid. Its great fun.

Galgeron, an Ork Physical Adept (Shadowrun character, think) was damn fun. He was an angst factory but he wasn't always terribly serious. Violent, sarcastic, and brutal. Plus it's pretty funny when you've got around 6 pistols. But, a lot of the fun of that character was way too specific.

Hauc Feng was great too. Chaotic Evil Human Monk. (The abilities were just changed to Chaos equivalents) the guy wasn't pure evil, he was just a half crazy bastard. It worked well because the inter party conflict didn't get to be much more then a little name calling. I didn't get a chance to do quite as many awful things as I'd like to. He also changed genders three times. He took it frighteningly well.

Pompey (pronounced 'pompy') the gold dragon paladin, because sometimes the more cliché a thing is, the more entertaining it is to play.

It was a dragon campaign where good and evil didn't exist in the normal sense of the game, so the only part of the alignment you kept was the law/chaos axis. Gold dragon paladin, as lawful anal as it is possible to be. Copper dragon rogue/arcane trickster. There is little more that needs saying.

Of course, at the end of the campaign he was effectively wrecked from the inside out as he discovered that everything he had based his whole life on was based on a fallacy. He ate his portion of the ridiculous hoard they took from the dracolich villain and became a pious, peaceful dragon ascendant.

The copper dragon, incidentally, retired to his Tardis and continued zipping round other campaigns. He's showed up in every one this year.

my 1st Character who was a monk/Green Dragon Master(Homebrewed Prc) that was basically like the dragon disciple but applied to the monk core class. We also stole some of the stuff from the Dragon Shen PrC in Dragon Mag. #319.

Got that character to lvl 27. Monk17/Green Dragon Master 10 He started as a LN monk and through some discussion between myself and the DM ended up killing one of the party members (Human ranger) which shifted his alignment to Evil. For the longest time I was forced to roll % to determine which side of my persona won out. If I rolled low the good side of Revan won, if I rolled high the evil side won. Eventually the evil side won enough that the DM made me permanently evil. Ended up killing our party's cleric in an end all battle, (She was LG) and went back and destroyed the monestary he had originated from and taking it for himself. He established the Order of the Dragon's Rite. :) Pretty fun, we just did a little short epic campaign where I got to play Revan Eclipse again and it was really fun. The CG ninja in our party tried to pull some bs on a temporary ally of mine, so she had to be "quivering palmed". The beauty of the character was that totally naked he was still a formidable opponent. Very high ac due to scales and monk bonus, and dex modifier. He still hit hard due to being a monk, and had plenty of immunities due to the half-dragon template and the monk class. Anyways, I still <3 this character.

Dumont Rustarin, 3rd level Enchanter/6th level Master Specialist

His story is that he and his wife were from the world of Everquest, where they were very high-level spellcasters. After a screwed-up Gate spell was cast, they would up in another Prim Material plane with their powers and magic items mostly drained, and having to learn how magic worked in this new world.

So far, I'm responsible for the GM saying that the bad guys are all going to have +5 cloaks of resistance (go go Charm and Dominate person!), and for the most imaginative method of getting past a giant bronze door the GM had ever seen.

"Ok, so the evil high priestess and her minions are behind this giant bronze door that we can't force open, and they're conducting some unholy ritual?"

"Yep, looks like we need to find the key."

"Nah." <looks at dominated guard and polymorphs him into a rust monster>
"See? Instant door opener."

Oh my most fun to play character has to be my current one. She is a Bard/Sorceror/Shadow-dancer in a role-play heavy campaign. She has high charisma, intelligence and dexterity, but quite low wisdom. She is not the brightest crayon in the box (despite her intelligence), and this had lead to a lot of fun. My familiar is a small bunny called "Withcranberrysauce". (successful bluff roll by a party member. Sense Motive is a wisdom skill remember :smallwink: )

I've been awarded several "gold stars" by my DM for roleplaying the special little things this character comes up with. My party found the most effective way to clear a suspicious cobweb filled building was to push her inside and close the door. After about ten minutes of the sound of screams and running footsteps, she burst out of the building trailing about 5 years worth of cobweb behind her, and several grumpy spiders.

As much fun as my first character was (halfing rogue/fighter/shadowdancer), I think my CN half-elf cleric rogue Riksnil is my favorite character. I don't even like half elves and he didn't start with any ability scores over 15 (in a group of powergamers that prefers high power stat generation), but he's just so lucky and fun to play.

I have difficulties getting anyone in my group (other than me) to DM an entire campaign, so Riksnil wanders around taking adventures as they come. He's only made it from level 1 to level 6 so far though.

His personality reminds me most of Miroku from Inuyasha. He's also seen the most roleplaying of any character I've played so far. I even wrote a journal of his adventures for fun. He's also managed to out-damage every melee character he's adventured with. It's just crazy luck too.

Fighter: I rolled a 2 and a 7 :smallfrown:
Me: well, at least you set up flanking *18* oohhhh I scored a crit and got sneak attack too.
What? He's already running away? I get an AoO! Oh look, that finished him...

T'sa (http://www.wizards.com/d20modern/images/d20f_gallery/82788.jpg) (the purple geeko in handcuffs, but he was copper-brown) arms dealer/heart breaker/blockade runner/mercenary starshiup captain & pistoleer/holovid celebrity/business CEO of our long runing Alternity Star Drive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_drive) campaign.

I wont bore y'all with his exploits, just imagine a kobold Han Solo with an overcompensating Napoleanic complex, chip on his scaley shoulders, and micro-rocket launcher on his hip.

Natural Spellcaster (That's a must have for any druid type)

No its not

Zelmar Darkshine (lvl 16 Winged Elf Ranger)

Although i joined the campagin about halfway through and didnt have my wings for a good length of time [i'd been mauled by evil fey when the party rescued me] the fun of a elf who spoke only Ancient Elven (eventually learned Pidgin Common) being brought into a high society world and the havoc that it allowed me to do.
Insult important NPCs, destroy valuable artwork, damage other artwork and other such thing to cause the Wizard grief

Got along famously with the Holy Liberator (from whom the pidgin common was learned)

once my wings were regenerated it became even better, Perfect flight = nigh on untouchable {except to Fist of Zoken Monks..... Grr}
