Greetings, spellas!
We all know how grandiose is magic in D&D and lot of ours love coming from it. In 3.5 there was ability to create new and experiment with old spells. It was fantastic because every mighty wizard strives to make his mark in history of magic! And I tried find rules about it in 5e, but DMG didn't say anything about this process for players. Just a note about how it should looks on paper.
So I'm interesting in this kind of downtime craft - how did you do it in your campaigns?
How you spend time and sources for making something new in Weave? Maybe some interesting ideas?
Rituals, quests for knowledge and rare reagents?
