Denomar

Here's what work I've done on a character concept Think of this like a reader's digest introduction of what to expect. I know that its sorta up in the air as to when game can happen, but I'm too excited not to do this.

This may be a bit intense, so take it a bit at a time. It's why there's so many nested spoilers.

In the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. I know who you are... You are destiny (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgMEgt73hok).

Denomar, the Sword of Destiny
*Neutral Good Elan (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/races/elan) Monk (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/monk-unchained) (Perfect Scholar)/Inquisitor (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/inquisitor) (Sanctified Slayer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/inquisitor/archetypes/inquisitor-archetypes---paizo/sanctified-slayer))//Soulknife (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife) (Gifted Blade (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/gifted-blade))

A peerless warrior from a forgotten age, Denomar is a mystery. Awakened in a vault by a breathless and terrified Alleria during a time of crisis. Denomar now finds himself in a time not his own, he walks the world trying to find his purpose, to walk the steps of path of the warrior, to right wrongs where he finds them and promote harmony. Wielding an even more ancient storied sword the fool seeks to return to the past and UNDO the Future THAT IS AKU!!!! *cough* uh. cut that last little bit.

Holy Mackerel, what the hell is with all these links?
These are the character race, and character classes I'd like to use for this character throughout his career. In brackets are the alternate class features that I'd like to use, linked to the PFSRD in a way that is hopefully easily accessible.

the '//' denotes the split between my character's Gestalt levels. He will advance as a soulknife every level, but may go back and forth between Monk and Inquisitor.

Perfect Scholar is not yet printed on the pfsrd, but I do have the book that its in, so I can show it to you when you get back.

Denomar is a dedicated Melee Striker, as he gains levels he will become progressively faster and harder hitting. His primary class as a soulknife means he will almost always be on curve in terms of always having access to a magical weapon that cannot be permanently destroyed or lost. He can also use a limited number of buff powers to make him more effective. But there is usually going to be a point where he can run out of real offensive juice.

As a concept, this guy is my ode to Samurai Jack and Usagi Yojimbo. The level headed swordsman with a magical blade that is just as happy to enjoy the sunset and a cozy meal as he is dedicated to serving justice where its due. He's the wandering ronin on the Musha shugyō, an ascetic on Angya. A teacher to Alleria (Matt's Character) and a boon companion to Dan's character.

However he's also a little bit more. Elan are basically psionically manufactured creatures, and soulknives specialize in creating a personalized magical sword. I want to come from this ultimately from a different angle. Rather than the warrior creating the blade. The warrior is a creation of the Sword. This part is secret from the party though.

Denomar is an intelligent awakened Katana of phenomenal power, that was interred in the Vault near Alleria's home town. When the town was sacked Alleria called for help, and the sword answered. But Alleria was too frightened to take up the sword herself and moments before what would have been her demise her latent power forced the sword to act. It created Denomar the Elan to defend her. The experience was traumatic enough that Alleria has no memory of this event happening. The resulting act of creation drained the vast majority of power from the sword and will explain why the sword will begin play as a masterwork weapon rather than its true power, it will also explain Denomar's lack of knowledge of his true self. He is after all the expression of a martial philosophy and the combat experience of a twenty thousand year old artifact. The confusion should be evident.

Stories of Denomar's powerful blade may follow him wherever he goes. And fools may try to take it if they are unwise. A powerful source of evil may also seek to corrupt it if they can....

The Force.... Denomar hopes to help Alleria master her powers and, subconsciously, wishes for her to take up the mantle of the chosen warrior of destiny. He doesn't realize this though.
