View Full Version : Would Zon-Kuthon sponsor an undead uprising? Or would another diety do that?

I'm just curious.

I would peg Urgathoa more than Zon-Kuthon, as she is the patron of undead, that said Zon-Kuthon doing so probably wouldn't be hugely out of character.

I'm making a campaign and I want to have a few LN and LE clerics.

As patron of darkness, I could see Kuthite necromancers favoring shadows, wraiths, and other light-hating undead. As patron of madness and torture, I could see a connection to allips, less stable ghosts, or other forms of mad or tormented undead.

Doubt it. The causing of pain is his whole schtik and undead don't really feel pain in the way living mortals do.

Any lawful Undeath gods?

Not super familiar with PF gods. I could rattle off a few from FR or Greyhawk but I don't think that's much help.

Well, Urgathoa is NE, so does have LE clerics, and I think Zon-Kuthon would support an undead insurrection insomuch as the undead are harmful to others.

Sounds like something Arazni would endorse

Pain is just one part of his domain. Darkness is too, and many undead are heavily associated with darkness. Envy and loss are also things undead can still experience: in fact a lot of them are motivated by jealousy of the living.

With 100%: Urgathoa and Zyphus. Both having LE as a clerical alignment.

With some certainity you can see the Infernal lords/ladies/dukes/whatever with the Death Domain most likely don't have anything against it. Special note to Farafello (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Farafello) for his apparent conquest flavour, Kalma (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Kalma) for burial rites and such as well asLorcan (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Lorcan) and Ruzel (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Ruzel) for their portfolio.

Basically, any individual in the deep end of the alignment pool that isn't opposed to using the undead will use them if it's appropriate to their goal.

So, ultimately, it depends on what kind of undead uprising and what it's supposed to accomplish.
