During one of our gaming sessions our party came across some kobolds (tiny) on some roofs in a village. Our human rogue was facing away from them when attacked by a magic middle. The setting is a full moon dim vision at night. When the rogue turned around he was 20 feet away from the kobold on dim vision. My question is should he been able to see the kobold or would he need to spend his combat action trying to find him when it's 20 feet away in a straight line no obstructions??

Dim light he should be fine to see it 20ft away

IMO he also should have been able to see the kobold.

Dim light cause light obscured, which doesn't impact vision in general except where a Wisdom (Perception) check that rely on sight is required, at which point its disadvantage.

Also I believe this thread has been posted twice recently, either that or I haven't got enough sleep.
