The Feywild is a place of wonder and magic, a land of eternal twilight where the Courts of the Fae scheme and play in the moonlight. But it is also a distorted reflection of the Prime Material plane, where the mundane becomes the extraordinary. Let's build a list of 101 things that are commonplace in the Feywild but are fantastically remarkable on the Prime Material. These can be any sort of thing, so long as it fits the theme and wouldn't seem worthy of notice to the Fae.

Here's two to start it off:

1. Moon Pearls: These small, surprisingly heavy, bluish pearls are found in the streams and pools of the Feywild. Valued highly by the Fae and frequently used in jewelry, each pearl has a small imperfection shaped like the moon. As the moon cycle progresses, the imperfection changes to match it.

2. Passionbell: A flower of the Feywild, the Passionbell blooms as a translucent, softly glowing white bell-shaped flower. When touched by a native sentient from the Prime Material feeling a strong emotion (like love, hate, fear, etc.) the flower drastically alters its color and shape to match the emotion. Once altered, the flower remains that way for 1 year, but picking the flower preserves it indefinitely. Anyone who touches the flower after it has been changed by emotion will feel the same emotion that altered the Passionbell. The Unseelie Court is very fond of leaving these plants along the darker forest paths, so they may more easily track their terrified mortal prey.

3) Windrazor - This deadly grass dominates vast plains, suffering no other life to survive wherever it grows. In the absence of any breeze, Windrazor is an innocuous, pale green grass with odd ribs; harmless as any ordinary grass. In a gentle breeze, the grass makes a pleasant humming sound as it vibrates, the sound waves resonating across the plain. In any wind greater than than a breeze, however, the ribs along the blade of the grass cause it to vibrate at a high frequency, turning the edge of the grass into a literal blade. Creatures caught in a patch of Windrazor when the wind blows, find themselves dying the death of a thousand cuts; surrounded by hundreds of fast-moving, razor-sharp blades, where once there was only grass. The blood and decomposing corpse of Windrazors victims provides excellent nourishment for this deadly plant.

Ironhounds: Red hounds that patrol the Feywild, sniffing for the scent of cold iron. When they find someone bearing cold iron, they seek to terminate the bearer with extreme prejudice. During combat, or after the offender has been slain, the ironhound will eat the iron items, as their touch turns the iron to rust. They iron hounds consumption of iron gives the hound it's rust coloured fur. If an ironhound has recently killed a mortal creature, it's teeth will be stained black due to the effect of the ironhounds nature and the iron in the victim's blood.

5) Dandelion Fog - On dreary nights and early mornings in the feywild, sometimes a superlatively thick, dense fog forms on the moors. So heavy is this fog, that it behaves like a curtain of dandelion seeds, completely blocking vision and making it exceedingly difficult to pass through. It can be moved and sculpted, and it is said those with a light enough step can even climb it.

6) Liquid Twilight: sometimes the rain in the Feywild falls as a volatile, black fluid that feels dry to the touch. If taken outside the Feywild, this fluid immediately transforms into an area of darkness.

7) Puff-shrooms: These otherwise innocuous fungi resemble mortal mushrooms, and would be unremarkable did they not launch themselves upwards when disturbed. They release harmless spores while in the air, but sufficiently large rings of these fungi can leave a mortal choking if too many are touched at once.

8) Cloudclay

This unusual white mineral has an semi-ethereal nature, drifting like clouds through other materials, on aetherial currents of magic. It often goes unnoticed, underground, but in areas of high magical density or when it comes across other magical materials underground, it sometimes drifts above the surface, passing harmlessly through rock, plant and animal alike. Study of this substance continues as keeping hold of it is...problematic.

9) Shockows

These odd animals appear to look like regular cows with females having udders and males having horns however during thunder storms when grouped together they appear to act as a conductor for the lighting with males being targeted the most. It has been said that days after a storm you can still see lighting jumping form horn to horn of the males and it has been said that the females milk is a stimulant and gives you a buzzing feeling

10) Lorebark:

The trees of the Feywild thrive not only on the rich loams or the sweet rains of that realm, but upon the very magic that underpins the dimension. That magic is clearly present in the Lorebark, a great broad leafed tree that grows in small copses across the Feywild. Under the light of a full moon, the leaves of the Lorebark shine with luminescent blue runes, a single letter on each leaf. On the right day and under specific conditions, these leaves can reveal prophecies, forgotten lore, or even spells unique to the Feywild. If conditions aren't quite right however, these leaves may also drive anyone foolish enough to study them stark raving mad.

This thread is still one of the top Google results for Feywild homebrew ideas, so hope everyone is OK if I necro it to flesh out the list.

11) Moonmist Trees: These tall, slender trees have leaves that shimmer and glow like moonlight, even during the day. They are sacred to fey creatures, who use the bark and leaves to create magical charms and potions.

12) Starfall Pond: This tranquil pond is filled with crystal-clear water that reflects the stars above. At night, the water glows softly, and fey creatures can be seen dancing on the surface, their movements mirrored in the rippling water.

13) Dreamweave Vines: These delicate vines grow in tangled masses throughout the Feywild, and their leaves are infused with a powerful soporific that induces vivid, surreal dreams in those who sleep near them. The vines are often used by fey creatures to capture prey or to lull their enemies into a deep sleep.

14) Faerie Dust: A sparkling powder that is produced by certain flowers in the Feywild. The dust is highly sought after by spellcasters for its magical properties, which include inducing vivid hallucinations and causing objects to levitate.

15) Echo Moss: A type of moss that grows in the shadows of Feywild caverns. When touched or disturbed, it emits a soft, ethereal glow that reverberates through the caverns, creating a haunting and beautiful sound that echoes for miles.

16) Starflower: A small flower with delicate petals that resemble stars. When crushed or distilled into a potion, it imbues the drinker with the ability to see through illusions and perceive the true nature of things. However, the flower is highly toxic and can cause hallucinations, insanity, and even death if ingested in large quantities.

17) Feyberry: A small, sweet berry that grows on a low-lying bush in the Feywild. When consumed, it temporarily grants the eater the ability to see through illusions.

18) Shadowgrass: A type of grass that grows in the darkest corners of the Feywild, thriving in places where light cannot penetrate. When burned, it emits a thick, inky smoke that can be used to create illusions and obscure vision.

19) Faerie Firewood: A type of wood that is infused with magical energy from the Feywild. When burned, it emits a bright, colorful flame that can be used for cooking, illumination, or as a component in magical spells.

20) Feyrifts: Mysterious portals that connect different parts of the Feywild, appearing at random intervals and locations. These shimmering, swirling gateways can lead to unknown parts of the Feywild or even other planes of existence, and are often guarded by powerful creatures or magical wards. Those who venture through a Feyrift may find themselves in a place of wondrous beauty, unspeakable horror, or both.

21) Moonfall: A rare phenomenon that occurs in the Feywild during a full moon. During Moonfall, silver rain falls from the sky, filling the air with a soft, glittering mist. Those who are caught in the Moonfall are imbued with temporary magical powers, such as the ability to levitate, become invisible, or communicate with animals. However, Moonfall also attracts dangerous creatures and can lead to unpredictable and chaotic events.
