Having MS Paint Troubles

When I paste a copied picture image and paste it in Paint I get a black background. What is the problem with that?

EDITED: I just figured it out. Just save the image, then paste from: the image and booyah! But the picture is a little fuzzy, crap!

EDITED 2: There is still a black background! Help?!?

I think it does that when you're copying from a .PNG format--you have to convert it first. huge pain in the neck.
