Relating to the video rather than the title, but JESUS CHRIST ON THE FREAKING CROSS WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT
...at least, assuming you're not very drunk. That would be a reason.

That may be the single stupidest thing I have seen in my 58 years on this planet.
They should post a link to that video right under the word "idiot" in every online dictionary.

I can't watch the video at work right now, but does that man win a Darwin Award?

I don't think he's technically removed his ability to reproduce, so by RAW, no. (Assuming he gets medical attention and therefore doesn't have any life-threatening injuries, of course.)
Honorary Darwin Award, definitely.

Nope. If the Rogue could not find the trap then my Barbarian would accidentally trigger it. "Accidentally" being the key word. If my Barbarian knows of a trap and the Rogue could not disarm it, then my Barbarian would work on circumnavigating the trap. If circumnavigating it was not an option then we would have a hireling* set it off. Only very rarely would my Barbarian intentionally hit themselves with a trap.

I've had a barbarian/fighter do fighter do it before.
He believes he will pass the reflex save?

Clickbait. Bear trap spring mechanism was replaced by a lower strength version. If it would have been a real bear trap, he'd at least break his arm.
