Drider Template [3.0/3.5]

I was wondering if any individuals with a good head for game-balance might be able to suggest a level adjustment for this 3.0 Drider Template (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mm/20011118a). Its clearly a bit wonky, but it fits a concept I've been mulling over and I'd like to make a go of it.

Honestly, looking at it, and comparing it to the 3.5 drider, which is basically the same, but placed on top of a drow template, it would seem to be about equivilent to +2LA.
