Advice on my paladin 2/ wizard 18 build

It's for a one shot that might last for 2 sessions we roll stats I rolled 16,12,15,14,10,16. I was thinking of 2lvs of paladin for smite and smite spells. Then 18lvs or abjuration wizard. We get +3 armor, two magic weapons, and three magic items. We also get one free feat.

Rest of party is necromancer wizard, barbarian,and maybe a life cleric.


So any advice on this build would be nice thank you.

He is probably abusing melee cantrips so basically smites on cantrips

I would like to use my arcane Ward and other spells to counter enemy spells and help party so I would like to get most out of my one melee attack.
