Good evening,

Does anyone have a good melee bruiser build that can capitalize on the natural traits of the Implacable Stalker template?

Thanks in advance!

First off, it would have helped if you'd used the PF tag. You are talking about the Pathfinder template (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/implacable-stalker-cr-2), right?

One of the easiest choices is a Dread (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/dread). It's not a "melee bruiser," but Dreads are thoroughly built around fear effects. Seriously, take a look. With the Fear in Flesh (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/dread/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/fear-in-flesh) archetype, you can gain natural weapons and use those for your Terrors; you can also attempt to make an Intimidate check after successful natural attack.

If you want a more traditional melee bruiser, a Barbarian with the Intimidating Glare (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian/rage-powers/paizo---rage-powers/intimidating-glare-ex) rage power is a good start. You can also use Terrifying Howl (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian/rage-powers/paizo---rage-powers/terrifying-howl-ex) to escalate that. A Skald (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/hybrid-classes/skald) can take rage powers like those, or use its Dirge of Doom ability to great effect.

Sorry, I'm posting from my phone, so my options for formatting are limited. It wasn't available when I edited the post and I'm not aware if it was there when I made it.

Isn't an intimidate skill build redundant with what the template already gives though?

I did find the Shadows of Fear feat from Ultimate Intrigue, but there doesn't appear to be much support for fear effects that aren't spells or keyed off Intimidate.

Power Attack + Cornugon Smash (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/cornugon-smash-combat) + Mask of Virtue (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/damnation-feats/mask-of-virtue-damnation) (or another damnation feat) + Soulless Gaze (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/damnation-feats/soulless-gaze-damnation). Now you automatically intimidate anything you hit, and can create stronger fear effects than shaken.

Buy a pet mouse and keep it in a cage in your pocket. It has less than 5 HD, so it will be permanently shaken from your fear aura and give you the benefit of your Terrifying Inevitability.

Get 3 levels of Antipaladin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/alternate-classes/antipaladin) for Aura of Cowardice. Now you can intimidate absolutely anything, including mindless things like undead and constructs.

That template can actually work quite well for your regular Intimidate-based Slayer and gets pretty ugly once you manage to cower them and start a CdG as a Standard action.

To clarify when you say good do you mean good aligned or good at melee? If good at melee (seeing implacable stalker requires that you be evil usually) you basically are required to take at least a few levels in Anti-paladin as it removes fear immunity. Dread is an option for this removal of fear immunity though it is third party

I'm going to mention the Viking (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/viking) Fighter archetype. I'm sure there are other, better builds, but the ability to Intimidate as a move (2nd), swift (10th), or free (18th) might be handy. Also, it's a Fighter archetype that gets Rage instead of Weapon Training, which is handy if you want to rage and be Lawful.
