I've been looking for new magic systems and a player of mine has recommended to me the Sovereign stone magic system, has anybody here played with it? I know it involved 5 elements (Legend of the Five Rings?) and it seems to draw from you're con, anybody have any experience with it?

Just from a quick Google search, it appears to be a series of novels. Beyond that, I don't know.

I haven't read the books but I keep seeing people recommend the campaign setting for its magic system which is supposedly unique and distinct.

I played nearly a decade ago, so not much help with the specifics anymore, but Sovereign Stone in general was much more balanced than D&D. I never liked it for the lack of material to work with to get just the right character fit like you can in 3.5.

I hear it something to do with concentration checks as the primary form of casting?
