So I have looked around a bit and can't find a complete list of animal companions, some that are pretty up there, but I always seem to notice a few missing from memory alone. I have a character that's an Awakened Lizard Beast Master/Tippy Animal Focus Druid and I want her to have similar sized companions that are actually viable combatants(note, abusing the fact that iguanas are specified and they can get about 6ft long so medium would be best for companions). I was wondering if there were any rules for larger climbing lizards as companions, weather in obscure Dragon/Dungeon issues or errata that I can't find(Footpad Lizard from Drow of the Underdark comes to mind as a potential one). And if not would it be too out of line to just nix Hold Breath and switch the Croc's swim speed to climb?

Here is my list of animals, it is not comprehensive, sorry about that. It does however, have a descriptor column to sort by. Animal list (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19Xxes06ND55Jvd-cMtIAAhQze4Kb_TcABMCKe7Lb1ZQ/edit?usp=sharing)

I just sorted and plucked out the lizard entries.

Serpent Kingdoms also has a 2 HD animal called the nifern, which is a dog made into a reptile, basically. While not exactly a lizard, if these were real animals I'm sure people would call them lizards. And they are animal type, so they're viable choices for an animal companion.

Damn nifern are ugly as sin. Available for animal friends it seems but not companions. It's looking like my best bet would be to just use the Masters of the Wild method to find an animal for a Chameleon Creature Crocodile and refluff appearance or make it one of the more obscure, more awesome looking, crocodilians.
