Indeed. Based on the "towards E4" part, I have a suspicion they might've meant "NIJ towards E4", but I want to clarify before mapping it just to be sure.

I move the robber to D11. Hamste, got the most resources, so i will steal lend steal from him. I would go for I6, but i don't think the others would agree. So D11. That only hurts one and not even that badly.
I will end my turn after this, since i am for the next few hours unavaible.

I thank him and suggest to go North and may even take, sooner or later, the Wood-port, allowing him acces to a 2 Wood for 1 Resource of choice trade.
Catan is a very cramped island and his positioning in the middle is benifidal for the gathering of the limited resouces, but will result in a limited room for expansion.
My position in the SouthEast on the other hand does allow me the trade on ports easyer, but limits my ways to the richer resouces.

Hey, if you had one more stone you could trade and make your settlement. I will give you a stone for 1/2 of the wood that the settlement makes (so every second time an 8 is rolled you would owe me a wood).

You have to trade three matching resources (arguably I can't do my trade of 1 stone for wood in the future as it may count as giving away resources but to me it seems like a deal with a long term pay off not me giving away resources).

I'm looking at the rules that were linked and it definitely says identical resources for generic harbors.

No, it claims that at certain habors, it is a 2:1 whit the shown ressouce, but nothing that the 3:1 needs the same.

I would prefer that trade discussions were kept to the OOC, but they're acceptable in the IC. I'm going to have to insist that rules issues being kept out of the IC, though. Also, I found the rule under Maritime Trade on pg 9:

"Generic Harbor (3:1): Here you may exchange 3 identical resource cards for any 1 other resource card during your trade phase."

So Hamste is correct.

I would like to play a monoply card to take all the sheep. That should give me a total of 8 sheep (also that is the most ridiculous development card). I will then trade 6 sheep at my 2:1 harbor for 2 stone and 1 wheat. I will then use 3 stone and 2 wheat to make settlement DIE into a city.
