So this is something new but I've decided to try. For the most part I've based this whole system off the D20 modern classes and modified from there, but for now this is just the story, I'll post the system elsewhere.

For the first session only two people of seven actually was able to show up, but we played anyways. the player characters are Rachel and Sokar.

Session 1

The players awaken handcuffed to hospital beds to a loud noise. Someone just shot a zombie that had recently turned. Once the players start moving around the handcuffs rattling on the beds gives away that they are awake.
The three people in the room Elijah Hunt a middle aged man wearing a pocketed vest, Madison Hunt, Elijah's wife and a nurse, and Eric Cline, a doctor, tell the players they've been unconscious for a week after the last evacuation bus out of the city was overrun. Two police officers that were escorting the bus ends up killing the zombies and transporting them to "The Hospital", a 10 story doctor's office that has been repurposed into a makeshift hospital and living quarters, housing about 19 people at the time. After a few minutes a call comes in over Elijah's radio saying his son Scott, and another scavenger from the hospital, Adam, are trapped in an appartment bathroom. Elijah then enlist them to help save his son and friend.
After an uneventful walk about a block-and-a-half away they come across a two-story apartment building with 7 studio apartments on each floor. Elijah calls on the radio to find out which apartment they are in, but they don't remember just that it's on the second floor.
Once on the second floor they realize most of the doors have a white "X" on them. The first door without they come to is Apartment 10. The door is slightly open but not enough to see in, but they do hear zombie moms and sounds of them hitting or running into something. Rachel and Elijah post up on either side of the door, while Sokar takes some change they had and opens the door and throws it at three zombies inside to get their attention. It works and all three turn their attention to him standing right outside the door. Once they get close to the door Elijah's swings his sledgehammer but swings wide and hits the door frame on the other side. Rachel then swings her baseball bat high also missing. when Sokar steps forward to swing his machete however he buries it into the first zombies head and it drops. The other two trip over the first and are taken out quickly.
After, they head inside and find Scott and Adam in the bathroom, Elijah is upset that his son Scott, only being 17, is out in this danger and wants him to go back, but Scott argues only wanting to help the group and finish the last four apartments in the building.
The players offer to help bringing the total group up to 5 to finish the last 4 apartments. Elijah agrees and they Stack Up on the door to the next apartment, 2 on each side and Sokar standing in front. Adam pounds on the door to check for zombies but none are heard so they go in and search it. Once done they go to stack up on the next door, this time they hear a noise. Rachel tries tapping on the window to draw them away from the door it kind of works. One zombie comes up and tears the blinds off the window revealing 2 zombies inside, but one still by the door. Still at the door, Scott reaches over to the door handle and turns it enough and Sokar kicks it in knocking the zombie near It to the gound. Adam runs in and smashes the prone zombie's head while Elijah runs in and swings at the one by the window, missing and shattering the window. Sokar steps in and sends the head flying with one swing of his machete.
Rachel, standing watch while everybody else searches the apartment, notices 2 zombies heading their way drawn by the shattered glass. The group draws them over to the stairs and quickly takes care of them then moves on to the next apartment, which turns out to be vacant easily told by the emptiness and fresh paint.
The fourth and final apartment is clear of zombies and Rachel keeping watch again, notices four zombies coming down another Street towards them. Three of them look normal for zombies. The last however looks strange, more gray, no arms, and a small Dome head on the Torso with no neck, standing about 6 feet tall, half of its height coming from its legs. Not knowing anything about this creature, they decided not to take any chances.
They go back into the last apartment and pick up a big box TV and the microwave and drop it on top of it has it passes underneath the railing. When they do however it becomes apparent that one of the remaining three is not quite normal, has it starts running at them with surprising Speed and Agility. The gray zombie is knocked down from the appliances, the remaining two split one for the stairs, and one for the clanging appliances. The fast zombie runs for the stairs at them. Elijah pulls out a small revolver pistol not wanting to shoot and attract more, but have it in case of emergencies. Adam swings at the zombie but it dodges out of the way easily. Next Scott steps up to swing, but loses his footing and falls down the stairs towards the zombie. Rachel sees this and her motherly instincts kick in and she jumps between them and swings with all her might, connecting with the jaw spinning he head around backwards killing it.
Sokar at this point sees the gray zombie contort almost like an inchworm to get its feet back underneath it and stands up. At this point Sokar jumps over the railing on top of it nearly folding it in half. After a missed swing, he stabs his machete through a large hole that looks to be a mouth drawing in breath where a neck should be and the undead life fades from its beady eyes. The last two were killed without incident after they get a look at this grey zombie and are all equally perplexed as to what it is, they decided to take it back to the hospital and examine it.

Sorry about any grammatical or spelling errors Talk to Type doesn't work the best on this tablet. but there it is. let me know what you all think. it's my first time being a GM, but I had fun and so did my players. I wish more would have showed up but next week should be better

Grammar/spelling errors aren't that big a deal, but the gigantic mega-paragraph is kinda hard to read. Can you break it up into more manageable chunks, either now or for future updates?
