If someone wants to convince someone of something untrue, could they simply tell the truth in a misleading way to make it a diplomacy check instead of a bluff check?

For example, saying that you're a king in from of a guard to get entrance to a feast. Technically you are king of your local checkers club. Bluff or Diplomacy?

Deception is Bluff. No matter how technically true in a context other than the one you're presenting the deception is.

What's always tricky is how do you convince somebody of something true. "No, really, your trusted and beloved wife is actually Tiamat and has been playing the long game with you to position you to free the rest of her power from Hell and unleash it on this world!" If true, how do you convince somebody of that? As in, what skill do you roll?

The asmodean advocate cleric archetype has an ability that is basically what you describe, called devil in the details. It lets you speak technical truths in such a way that you can mislead your audience, using a profession (Barrister) check in place of any bluff or diplomacy checks, quite literally lawyering your way through life. It has the added benefit of bypassing any lie detection since nothing you're saying is actually a lie.
