Ecl 6 Great-spear user build help

So i'm in a group of 5 were we will be taking turns Being The Gm/DM
to adds to this the books we may use are just ph1 MM1 DMG1 on top of this we may each throw in a book

so far the books are storm wreck, complete warrior, ghost walk and librus morits

of theres book what would be a good build for a level 6 great-spear user

A few questions for you:
Are you absolutely dedicated to using a Greatspear instead of a Longspear, or could you be flexible on that?
Have you committed to using Complete Warrior as your book, or would you be able to submit a different one if you decided it something else was better?
Are character options in the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm) (often included in core along with the three core books) allowed? Or only from the print versions of the books?
Do you know what kinds of characters the other players are running?

Toss in Tome of Battle and you should be good to go for a melee build.
