Looking for feedback and suggestions for an NPC/monster build:

Grimalkin Magical Beast 4/Fangshields Druid 5/MoMF 10/Warshaper 3 (or maybe /MomF 7/Warshaper 5)

Looking for suggestions on feats or any other ways to improved his shape-shifting abilities.

Cheers - T

Wouldn't Warshaper capture his spontaneous, constant, shape shifting better? You may also cheese your way into nabbing Divine Minion for at will wild shape.

Is Druid really necessary to the character? If not, you might consider using the Shapeshifter PrC from Oriental Adventures instead. Then you can get into MoMF earlier and have enough levels to complete both it and Warshaper.

As for feats to help with the shapeshifting itself, there're the ever-useful Assume Supernatural Ability and Metamorphic Transfer, depending on whether or not you can make yourself psionic.

Grimalkin can enter Warshaper straight away with its 4 BAB and Shapechanger subtype, which gets Concentration as a class skill if it wasn't already, so Grimalkin Magical Beast 4/Warshaper 5/Shapeshifter 1/MoMF 10 works.

You can always make yourself psionic for the purpose of Metamorphic Transfer by way of a Host feat, but Thurbane doesn't like psionics.

Thanks a lot for the advice: happy to ditch Druid if it's not really necessary to the concept.

There is a minor, minor dysfunction that could easily be sorted out by a tiny homebrew ruling. If you don't have Druid levels before entering Shapeshifter Prc, well, because its Wild Shape "works exactly like the druid's wild shape ability"...you would have a duration of 0, since its duration is (1 hour * druid level).

It's not really a problem because the cat already has a shapeshifting ability usable at will and MoMF fixes it the next level.

So I'm starting this guy at CR 6; so Magical Beast 4/Warshaper 4.

Feats locked in as: Alertness, Endurance (for MoMF later on)...what would be a good third feat? Maybe Multiattack?

He will be an ally/cohort to a PC party.

Multiattack is good for CR 6.

Why not leave either Alertness or Endurance for the next HD you get, though? Then he can start off with another actually useful feat.
