Imagine you'd have to create a character similar to Raziel as close to official rules as possible with the following important factors, what would you choose and why?
1) (Unwilling) Herald of the Elder God
2) Soul collecting mechanic (crunch that supports this fluff)
3) Sent out to reap vengeance onto the enemies of his God
4) Undead....ish
5) Energy Blade/Spectral Powers
Honestly I do not care immensely about the undead race nor about the energy blade as much as about the position of an unwilling pawn of greater powers. He doesnt even need connections to Vampirism. He could however be an Elf (or sth. else with a long lifespan) who was a fanatical Crusader who was later converted into a lieutenant of a growing tyrannical empire and pitted against his once noble goals.
Everything in me is screaming Vengeance Paladin/Warlock of the Great Old One but I feel the powers and spells of this patron feel mismatched.
