Hey playgrounders!

In a recent game, my buddy rolled of an Avenging Druid5/Master of Many Forms1. At first level, a Master of Many Forms can use their wildshaping ability to assume the form of a humanoid. My friend wants to use this ability to shapeshift into the form of the party fighter to take on his physical stats.

Would this work?

My understanding is that you wild shape into a generic humanoid, with average stats. So the normal 10/11 spread plus racial modifiers.

No. You don't Wild Shape into a specific creature, you shapeshift into a specific type of creature. "Bob, level 5 human fighter", is not a valid Wild Shape form. "Human" is.

"Bob, level 5 human fighter".

It's actually "Jack, level 4 human Fighter" but you were pretty close.

Thanks everyone!
