Lost his battle to cancer (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/john-hurt-dead-elephant-man-809521). The world lost another legendary actor :smallfrown:

I could get mad, but 77 is a good run.

Is it wrong that my first reaction was to go and rewatch the chestburster scene?

:smallfrown:I'm sorry for him(suppresses the urge to make puns about his last name).

NPR's website of all places featured that scene in their announcement of his passage.

Poor guy had cancer. At least he's hurting no more. :smallfrown:

RIP. I binge watched The Storyteller this weekend, and I have been on a huge Watership Down kick lately. It is time for Hazel to go with the Black Rabbit of Inlé. He was always brilliant, and involved in so many things I've loved. Thanks for everything!

Well, I liked him as an actor. Yup, the world lost something.

Don't worry, guys. Before too long, he'll be back as Christopher Eccleston.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

Oh, I liked him too. His Aragorn was both rough, as befitting a man who made a living out in the wild, yet also noble, as befitting a king.
