How does the Clone spell interact with Outsiders?

As the title says ... what happens in case that the Clone spell is used for Outsiders?

Hopefully someone can clear that up for me.

It would probably not work as the way Clone works is by creating a copy of your body and when you die it transfers your soul to the most recent copy. An Outsider canot be ressurected by Raise dead and Ressurection because its body and soul are one and the same. Probably the same case here as you cannot transfer the soul to another body for non native Outsiders while Native Outsiders, Humanoids, Animals, etc can since the soul and body are not a single component but 2 different ones.

The Revive Outsider spell shows that killing the Outsider doesn't immediately kill the soul.

Also, True Resurrection works on Outsiders.

In general I'd say there's precedent that would justify allowing Outsiders to successfully create Clones, and use them.
