My ranger took Beastmaster and has a panther, but I thought it was kind of lame that they have boring attacks and only three to choose from, so I talked it over with my DM and I'm allowed to teach him new combat tricks. Right now I'm teaching him to snarl and frighten people but I'm one success away from him being able to do it, and I have no idea what I should teach it after.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Fetch, obviously!

Ps. I wasn't joking (well, ok... Maybe a little)
Seriously though, if you taught fetch, think about all the possibilities a panther could go and fetch for you. They're astounding climbers if that's for any clues.

Besides fetch: Guard, grapple, push, disarm, hunt, scout

Don't think only about the heat of combat. Think about having it hide somewhere, and ambush the first enemy that passes. Or make a specific noise when it sees an enemy. Or to tail a specific person.
