So I might be able to start mystic ranger / wizard 1 / arcane archer 2 soon. Shooting star and sword of the arcane order. Bow.
Race: Silverbrow human to gain the bonus from primal spells. Gotta love blindsense. Or some version of elf. Or illumians for the + 2 caster level sigil.
Dragon mag/comp is a yes. Exalted and Vile no. ToB is a no. All other sources from WOTC or archive is yes.
Starting at level 5.
What is the best use of the level 3 slots and above between ranger and wizard spells? Part of me thinks have a nuke option. Other part of me thinks BFC/support.
Level 2 I know of explosive runes ( with clever usage ), web.
Level 3 I am thinking fireball since 1d4+1 arrowsplit arrows double due to splitting enchantment combined with level 2 ability of arcane archer for 4-10 fireballs with 10d6 per fireball.
What makes sense for spell level though.
level 4 no idea what are good spells here.
level 5. Unless control winds to bring down a tornado or Evard black tentacles, I'm thinking these are more useful as more slots for level 3 and 4 spells.
Also, the level 1 wizard dip.
What should the dip be? Part of me is thinking Domain generalist for extra 1st level spells. Or specialist something like Evoker for more area damage bombing?
