Getting ready to start an new Campaign. Unsure of the starting lvl until Session 0 so no info there.

The DM is allowing me to use the Homebrew Fighter Sub-Class of Eldritch Archer (EA). http://richplayingitforward.blogspot.com/2014/11/5th-edition-builds-eldritch-archer.html

Going Variant Human and I am looking at 3 possible starting Feats.
1- Sharpshooter
2- Magic Initiate
3- Alert

Magic Initiate gets me two extra Cantrips on a class that can really make use of them but the War Caster ability doesn't work until lvl7. The extra 1st lvl spell is Gravy IMO. Question: If I use GFB or BB would this allow me to Attack twice via EA's War Caster ability because it procs an auto attack or would it still limit it to one attack because it's a cantrip that activates a Melee Attack?

Sharpshooter is a Must but maybe not till the Prof Bonus goes up to at least +3 or I get a +X Bow/Arrows

Alert would be very good but is it worth a starter feat at lvl 1???

Any suggestions or comments outside the OP would be Greatly Appreciated.
