OK. This is probably a copypasta of 100+ other such threads (if so, mods: please delete it), but which one non-fantasy, non-scifi book have you read recently that you simply must tell the world about?

For me it was "Lord of Misrule", the autobiography of screen legend (and ex WW2 special forces commando) Christopher Lee.

You know that rare phenomenon of the more you learn about a person; the more you respect them? Oh yes! In spades.

I think I mentioned it in a different thread, but Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi. Also Persepolis 2. It's an autobiography of a girl growing up in Iran amidst political turmoil.
This post is part of a secret plot to trick people into reading more comics.
I recently read The Quitter another autobiographic work, and Ego and Hubris by Harvey Pekar, which were both very interesting as well.

Not recently, but The Plauge Dogs by Richard Adams or Fight Club the book I'd have to recommend.

There are books that aren't SF or fantasy? :smallconfused:

Not the ones I mentioned, no.
