Welcome to the contest that parasitizes the other optimization contests: The Villainous competition as well as the Iron Chef Competition.
The goal of this contest is create the Perfect Sidekick to a winning entrant in an optimization contest hosted here on the boards.
This contest uses all of the same rules and restrictions as the competition upon which it is based. With the following exceptions:
Every decision made to craft the sidekick must be made to maximize the effectiveness of the selected champion, as if fate itself was building the perfect compliment to the built character selected.
Sidekicks may not be cohorts, special mounts, animal companions or familiars. Sidekicks are loyal toadies to the character at hand and must be treated well by their Champion. This means that entrants must craft a plausible reason for this sidekick to be willingly working with and for their selected champion.
Builds do not progress beyond 12th Level or HD.
The sidekick is assumed to have been gained at 3rd level by the selected Champion and will tend to lag two levels/HD behind their champion when their progress arrests at 12th level (and their champion is at 14th+).
Only the build sweetspot needs to be written up.
Use of special ingredient will be replaced with "Complementariness." Judges will decide how effective the sidekick is at amplifying the impact of the chosen champion.
This Contest will end in two weeks at 11:59 on Feb 21st.
Entries may be PM'ed to me, as for right now, I'm the chair. Make sure that you make it clear which Champion your sidekick works for!
