View Full Version : Looking for help maximizing a Swift Hunter build

Hello. I already have a rough idea of what to make of this characterbut would need some help,advice or suggestions; especially as to what level to take the "mandatory" Cloistered Cleric dip (I am trying to keep my base attack bonus as high as possible).

One question before I go further is about extra attacks given by high BAB and Skirmish adding to all attacks or not or if not how to fix that glaring flaw.
I am also trying to max out critical hit frequency and potency. I think I found the perfect PrC dip for it however and my DM allows it as he does almost anything for that matter.

I found a Staff of Defence (random luck) and numerous other treasure I sold to explain my uncanny wealth for my level.

Here are my current stats follow by my 20 level progression.

(I will add my other gear later as this is already a long post)

I have chosen to give up my spells for bonus feats and familiar for Distracting attack (My character is a loner so an animal would also not fit thematically)

Scout 6-7-8 are acceptable since they lose no BAB at 6, 7 and 8. Rangers max out their use at 14 (spell level feat replacement and saves) or 15 (4th favored enemy).

Please help me improving this if you can. Any suggestions are welcomed. Nothing from Pathfinder or Dragon magazine if at all possible.

I talked to my DM and we agreed that at my next level (6) will be the dip in cloistered cleric. He even let me add the War domain to Shaundakul so I can gain Weapon Focus with Greatswords as well (since I am using a Greater SwordBow). We were in a very cramped dungeon so I actually fought with my Greatsword and my meager +9 to hit was even lower than our Elf Rogue.

I am looking for what feat to take as my level 9 bonus feat since I cannot take Greater Weapon Focus anymore since my BAB will only be +7 because of the Cloistered Cleric dip and Scout level giving no BAB. I am taking Swift Hunter as my Scout 4 bonus feat and Improved Skirmish as my bonus 12th level feat.

Extra Turning (more travel devotion uses), Iron Will, Telling Blow, Improved Initiative or Power Critical are my current favorites.

Does anyone have any advice ?
