As the title suggests.

There's a character I've been playing since 1st edition, and he inherited a custom magic item at the time that spontaneously forces him through time and across different realities and dimensions.

Accordingly, I've played him in several different campaigns and editions of D&D, but I've always struggled to stat him in 3.5.

He began his career as an AD&D Illusionist, so Specialist Wizard is non-negotiable. He had a reasonably high Strength score, and his personality was such that he spent a lot of time kicking in doors, intimidating commoners and bludgeoning his enemies to death. He used Illusions to manipulate enemies or situations that he couldn't really solve through force of will, or with a few swift cuts. Sounds like a classic Gish to me.

Here's the build:

Human Paragon 1
Sneak Attack Fighter 1
Martial Wizard 2, swapping out Familiar for Chains of Disbelief ACF
Human Paragon +2
Spellsword 1
Abjurant Champion 5
Unseen Seer 8

Ability Scores:

Str 13
Dex 16
Con 12
Int 18
Wis 6
Cha 16

Feats so far:

Human Bonus Feat: ???
Level 1 - Power Attack or Extend Spell
Level 3 - Practiced Spellcaster
Level 3 - Fighter Bonus Feat ??? (From Martial Wizard) Power Attack will probably go here.
Level 5 - Human Paragon Feat ???
Level 6 - Combat Casting

Later in the game, I'll be taking Persistent Spell, for Hunter's Eye via Advanced Learning.

The build ends up with 16 BAB and 18 Spell Levels, with a final CL of 20//22 for Divination. I'm wondering if there's anything I've missed, or anything that might make the build a little more effective.

I'm ultimately looking for feats that will improve Illusions, and while I'm pretty flexible concerning the prestige classes, my understanding is that I've pretty much hit the gold standard for Gishing.

Thanks all!

Edit: I should mention I'm also open to spell and item suggestions. Keep in mind that this character is Chaotic Neutral. No Luminous Armor.

You might want to look at the Beguiller, if that can fit in your build.

Yeah, Beguiler sounds like an obvious fit

As mentioned in the original post, Illusionist is (about the only) non-negotiable element of the build.

Yeah, but Beguiller is a much closer match to the 1st ed. AD&D Illusionist than the 3.5 Illusionist is. So don't let the name put you off.

I've played Beguilers before. Not what I'm looking for in this character.
