Bonus action healing?

So when you're unconscious, you're incapacitated, which means you can't take actions or reactions. But bonus actions aren't actions or reactions, so you could, for example, use Second Wind to get you up and running again. This seems weird.

I've probably got this wrong somehow, but I'd like to know how, please. :D
