Basically I wanted to know what ways are there to counter freedom of movement.. Are there any items or feats that can do such thing? Even if with limited functionality? Items, feats, or classes that were able to generate some sort of antimagic field would work as well

A good old dispel magic or disjunction effect will work on the spell, but there are many ways of having SU or EX freedom of movement that cannot be negated.

Tetori monks can negate/ignore.

Bribe the DM to make freedom of movement not apply to grapples.

Sadly PF is not allowed in our campaign :/

What about antimagic fields? Is there anyway to generate them?

I find they stop moving so freely when they're dead. And there's lots of things that give the "dead" condition. :smallwink:

Hmmm... between "Steal Spell Effect" and "Sleight of Hand", is there any version of Freedom of Movement a Spell Thief can't "liberate"?

Actually, if it's an SU ability, wouldn't a spellthief be able to steal and suppress it for a little bit?

Arcane archer shooting a antimagic field arrow at the target?

If you are a spellthief, you have other problems. :smallamused:

The Torc of Antimagic? is the popular go-to, but you need your non-magical body to actually be capable of grappling the target.

I'd say the best response to Freedom of Movement is not use use things negated by Freedom of Movement. You can't FoM through a Wall of Force or Resilient Sphere. Slow and Web on on the list but not the nasuea of Stinking Cloud.

But presumably you have a grappling monster that you want to manage a grapple, which means you need antimagic. You could throw in a Zern Arcanovore from MM4, a support monster that exists solely to provide Antimagic Field for messing with PCs, which is much less lootable than a Torc of Antimage.
