Hello folks,
So the WotC links for everything 3.5 no longer work, does anyone by chance have a copy of the Ambush Drake 7-Level PC class they can email me?
Thanks in advance!

Most of the stuff is still there in the archives section: Ambush Drake Template Class (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fc/20060728a)

Thank you so much! The only search results or links I could find were all broken!

Question: Is that a monster class or a template class? I thought Ambush Drakes were a race?

It's a 7-level monster class with no LA. You have to take all 7 levels before you can take any class levels. I'm not sure why the author called it a template class, as there aren't any templates involved.

Might just be some confusion about what a template is. I once had a DM who believed every non-PHB-race creature was a templated human.

We had goblin humans, orc humans, dragon humans, chimera humans, gibbering mouther humans, krenshar humans...

From the context of the article, I personally believe the "class" was supposed to represent the monster at various stages of it's growth, so the DM can throw an immature Ambush Drake at a lower level party. I don't think it was intended as a PC class. Just my 2 cents.

I dunno, if it wasn't meant to be a PC, why give it a favored class?

You can usually replace the "www" in Wizards.com links with "archive" and have them work.

This bit in particular makes me wonder:

As dragons, these creatures begin life using the elite array, typically arranged as such (Str 13, Dex 15, Con 14, Int 11, Wis 10, Cha 9), prior to racial adjustments.

...I guess it's a case of "ask your DM".
