OK, spellthief was very poorly handled by Wizards. But, is there a version made in PF that's actually good?

I don't believe there's a notable equivalent, or really much of anything outside of people homebrewing a Spellthief fix for Pathfinder.

Bard sandman (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/bard/archetypes/paizo-bard-archetypes/sandman/) archetype isn't completely dissimilar if I recall. Probably not exactly what you are looking for though.

Cool. That seems to be it...too bad it's no significant improvement, merely a change in style (other than getting to ride along on the Bard casting...at the cost of even lower spell thieving). That is slightly disappointing. I like the ideas of null-magic characters.

I think the Jinx Witch (an archetype of witch) does a bit of magic-eating.
