View Full Version : Non-racial psi-like abilities without class levels

I'm looking for ways to gain psi-like abilities without taking a class with psi-like class features or being a race that possesses them innately (including having the Phrenic template).

So far, I've been unsuccessful in my search, so if anyone knows of a method to do this I'd be grateful if you could tell me.

Also, no Hidden Talent.

There are a lot (http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/psionicItems.htm) of items that give you access to powers.

Do you need a manifester level of x to qualify for a feat or prestige class? Is there a certain effect you need?

If classes, races, templates, and hidden/wild talent are out, then you'll need to use an item like a psychoactive skin

I am in fact looking to gain a manifester level. Not for any particular feat or class, but just for the ones that have that requirement.

At least 5 ML is probably optimal.

Host feats from Complete Psionic.

Also Scion of the Twelve (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070620), although this does require you to be an Elan.

How about any other templates?

It would depend on the template, but I don't know of any others that grant PLAs.

Tainted One - Polymorph 3/day, Poison 1/day; ML = character level
Ti-Khana - Detect Poison ML 6, Alternate Form ML 19, Aversion ML 16
Half-Illithid - Detect Thoughts, Suggestion, Levitate, and Charm Monster; ML 8

Also, Symbiotic or Tauric Creature template may give you access to any SAs
