POLICE STATION

Inside the building there are many people at various desks. They all have something in common, a badge. This badge certifies that they are members of a squad developed and devoted to doing just one thing, stopping crime. They are the Town Police.

As you walk into the foyer you can see a large doorway on the right in what you're sure is an outside wall. Looking through it you can see a set of metal stairs leading down to some more cells. A sign above the doorway says Cell Block Extension. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17677) A sign over the front desk reads "Amulets of Trueseeing in Operation. Please leave Lies and Illusions at the door." Behind and to one side of the desk in Captain office.

I will update this as often as I can, but please remember that it may not be current.

The Rules:
If anyone (even a citizen) gets evidence on a crime, and are able to track down the criminal, then they can arrest him. The suspect will be in jail for a period of time according to the crime, after which the criminal will be released back into town. Due to rights for a speedy trial, the criminal will be held at max for 48 hours in the station if we can't settle it in court.
When arresting, one must first ask the criminal to come quietly, and then if they do not they may subdue them, using lethal force at their discretion. Criminals wanted for murder, battery, or assault should expect lethal force to be used against them.

Parole and Weapon Restriction
Parole is served simply by being scryed on by the police for the duration of your parole. Weapon restriction is accomplished by wearing a bracelet provided by the OmniShop. This bracelet prevents you from using any aggressive magic or drawing weapons ((Aggressive magic includes harmful or unlawful uses of any magic)) The bracelet also prevents you from attempting to harm or remove the bracelet directly or indirectly. These weapon restricting bracelets are made of adamantine and are unable to be taken off normally by anyone other than a police officer.

Internal Discipline
Officers who are discovered to be neglectful or willfully derelict in their duty will be subject to disciplinary action. Infractions last for 1 month, and on officer who commits two infractions within a month will have his/her badge taken away, his/her powers as an officer revoked, and be asked to leave the force.
To Report A Crime
Please LINK to the thread where the crime was committed. We play this as real time, so if you enter the building after the crime, all you can do is collect evidence/statements to prove the crime. Anyone may collect evidence and report crimes.

The Police Force- Current Officers and Joining the force

Joining the Force
To join the police force, either find the Captain or a Senior Officer of the appropriate department (see below) to swear you in. A police officer will receive weekly pay of 100gp, weapons (of your choice), weapon repair, and riot gear, a desk at the station, and room and board in the station barracks should they want to.
Senior Officers receive pay of 150gp each week, have authority over all normal officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters should the captain be off duty.
Captains recieve pay of 200gp each week and have authority over all officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters.

The force is divided into two departments, the Patrol and the Wardens.
The Patrol consist of those who are paid for detective work, town patrol duty, and a quick response team to back up citizens in reported fights.
The Wardens are made up of the people who jail and guard criminals, take care of legal and diplomatic matters, and scry on those people serving parole.
Each department has a separate Captain and a Senior Officer.

The badges given to the police act as badges of Trueseeing, and allow the police officer to contact any other badge-wearer with telepathy. They can either be pinned on, or aligned with the body's magnetic field to simply hold onto the wearer.
To be sworn in, you must first pass an alignment test. We accept no officers with Chaotic or Evil alignments. Once this test has been passed, the potential officer must answer the following questions in the affirmative:
Do you swear to uphold the law in this town?

Do you promise to obey the rules of the police as noted on page 1 of the police station thread?

Do you swear to the best of your ability to track and record crimes as well as apprehend and arrest criminals?

Arbites Officers are about the station to help take statements, open cells to release prisoners after time is served, and make fresh pots of coffee for waiting persons. Please use as you feel necessary. Arbites talk in Orange.. They feed you when you are in prision. So shut the shock up.
The station has been enchanted in the same manner as Trog's, so it may not be destroyed.

Cells
All cells in the station and the cell block are made of reinforced adamantine and enchanted to block all use of magic and psionics inside them. The cell doors are barred and have force in between them. Also an anit-agression feild is in them. You cannot attack anyone or anything while in the cell. Including yourself. Please don't try.
Whether the officer who jails you posts it or not, it is assumed that the faeries take all your equipment and store it in a security locker. It is also assumed that the door is locked when you are put in. Also you are feed.

He laughs again.
"I've seen anarchy. Thousands dying everywhere, no food, no water, no anything. Riots everywhere in the streets, people killing eachother just because they feel like it. Have you ever experienced anarchy? We're here to protect the people that you would beat up on because you're stronger. So shut up."

"Anarchy, for a day, will be a little chaotic. I've visited a world where colonists fought to break away from monarchy, as they did, many died. But within' a day, or a week, or a month, people figure out that in order to survive in the long run, they must work together!" Samson says "Riots of Freedom, Killings of confusion." He pauses, remembering a time in his life. "You are simply too stuck up in YOUR LAWFULLNESS FATH- er. . . scum."

He snorts.
"For a day? More like forever. You're pretty naive. I doubt you've seen half the things I have. So shut up."

A special squad of Arbites leaps into a modified Rhino, and they roar away towards Trog's.

Moose comes out of un-announced deadtime, gets bored, and heads out into the streets.

Rex's earpiece crackles.
"Rex, we're getting reports of more of those undead things all over Town. And if you kill one, don't attempt to crush the gem it leaves behind. We found that out the hard way."

Collect the Gems, got it. Any clue how to kill those things? He puts Horus into the cell and closes it, he then goes upstairs. He leaves the station to patrol about.

Sirens blare around the Police Station. Two more Rhinos with Arbites roar out into the streets. Everyone else is on maximum alert, patrols are everywhere around the Station. Jarus looks perturbed.

Samson wakes up, putting his face against the bars "anyone there?"

"We're still working out the exact details, but a rough estimate is 200 hours, with weapons restrictions and parole for at least a month."

"Multiple counts of murder, assualt, disturbing the peace, etc. I said we were still looking at the details, we have to go back to what happened when you attacked."
A Rhino pulls up. Raneus and ten Arbites leap out. Raneus looks furious.
"Never an easy day, is there. Too much to ask, huh?"

Well, thatis currently a very disputed position. We don't really have one, as over half the force has left, and the last chief is dead. We need to get a final tally on who's where before we can even recruit again.

"Then I'll need you to relay this to the higher-ups." he pauses The DELTA force was founded as an alternative to the TDI shortly before the massacre took place. Since then we have only been upholding the law, not using it for our own means. Although once loosely connected with AMEN we are no longer apart of the organization. Our jails have been recognized by legal authority and have only been used to incarcerate criminals. We object to you disbanding us but we wish to cooperate and remain legal. I do not speak officially for the the DELTA force but those are the views of my division."

[Manal]

A shadow figher slides in through a small gap betewn two borads. Slides up behind the (What is nightwings Person's name? it's hard to keep track of his peoples names.) and pulls a small knife to his throte. Talk and you will be on the ground dead faster then you could say help.

Daeghun cracks his whip at the figure. Now that it's enchanted, it makes twice the noise of a sonic boom, and should stun the figure upon contact.

Rivo pulls a gun on the shadowy figure.

"Stop! You are under arrest for threatening an officer of the law!"

Moose comes out of deadtime, and looks around, surprised at what's going on. ....Ok....explanation time, please.

The shadow shrinks down to the ground and disapers into dust.

A large branch comes out of nowhere and smakes him in the face.

*As the Branch comes near him he swings his sword and cuts it in half*

Rex chuckles and goes to a supply cabinet, searching for something.

the shadow disapers again and appers behind him and gases him.
hee hee now I will get my reward.

Rex gives up on the Supply Closet, realizing that the Evidence room is a better place to look. He finds exactly what he was looking for, a Bag of Devouring and a pair of Guantlets of Ogre's Strength. He leaves the cop and the shadow to work it out themselves.

[Nightwing]

*Trent throws some dust at The shadow. If it hits The Shadow Will fly up and attack itself to the ceiling. once there it can not move**

Daeghun sighs and lashes at the shadow again.

"Pssst, can anyone spring me?"

The shadow gets hit by the powder but counters it with trygon dust

She pulls off her cloack and reveals that she is Ravens sister. The shadow gets hit by the attact and dies in a cloud of dust. As it dies it says.You will die trent. Trust me on that. I have been hired by the reaper.

Daeghun lashes at her again, and is starting to get annopyed that his attacks are being completely ignored.

Rex enters, looking bruised and beaten. "Another fight? I'm sick of this." Rex lets out his chains in attempt to bind the shadows. They are magical, so Incorporeality's doesn't matter.

Rex, upon seeing the Unannounced Deadtimes, sighs and goes out the door again.

[LordVader]

Jarus will attempt to enclose the shadows inside spheres of force. If they are deadtimed, he sighs, and then deadtimes himself, as does Raneus, but not before saying to the DELTA member, if he's there,"There cannot be two police forces. We are the legitimate police. You may join us, but there cannot be two seperate police forces."
The Arbite says to Samson,
"Not much chance of that. Now shut up."

Lillith appears, still in her terrifying four-armed form. "What's going on here?"

[Rex Idiotarum]

Rex enters, his hair is still wet. He whispers instructions into his earpiece.

[LordVader]

"Apparently, Death hired some freaks to kill off this guy." He points at Trent.
"I think he's an officer, but I've never seen him before. Let him handle this. I can't do anything against shadows."
He collapses into a chair.

[Rex Idiotarum]

"The shadows will be easy to handle. O! And we'll be getting a new supply of guns tomorrow. Better guns, almost... Magical" Rex grins.

[Vhaidara]

He's an officer, but the worst one I've ever seen. He gets his badge, and then goes and, within ten minutes, had arrested Moose for attacking a girl in Trog's. From what I gather, he didn't start it.

"Meh. I'll spread them out to the elite response squads, but I'm keeping my own gun. Call me stupid, but I've grown accustomed to it."
There are currently three elite response squads. One for Coronox, codenamed CHILL. One is being formed to deal with Ba'al, but they haven't made much headway. Codename is ALPHA.
The last is for scenarios involving powerful wizards or spellcasters. Codename is SUPPRESSOR.

My Colts are already enchanted. Seeker bullets, and I can make it so they can't kill if I want.

"I don't know, I told him to make guns for the police, although I think he'll go for the whole utility package for the standard pistols, stun, explosive rounds, and probably some holy or Silver bullets for those nasty undead. x10 HK PSGI With True Seeing, Darkvision, and Far Seeing Autofocus Scope, these have range increased, can shoot nearly perfectly up to a Mile perfectly. Doesn't auto create bullets, but came with a good supply of Holy Silver Bullets, a nice supply of Explosive Rounds, and for the tough villains, Void Bullets, as well as standard Precision Bullets (Can handle the max range better than the others, silver melts, explosives are heavy, and Void is too chaotic, use those only up to 240 ft.)

x100 Thought Communicators. Saw you were whispering, threw them in. Think and the others will hear you in the head. Can be disorienting if you hadn't had voices in your head.

x 50 Stun Batons. Look like normal Batons, but with shocking effects.

x 200 Enforcer Cuffs. Stops Magic from leaving the body((It absorbs any magic the wielder attempts to use.)), Magic Enforced Locks and links, unpickable and virtually unbreakable. Geases the Wearer into following the instructions of an active cop.

x 5 Detectors: Looks like a hand held metal detector, can pick up on Evil((Soft tone, Red LED)), Magic ((High Pitched Tone, Blue LED)), or Undead((Two Beeps pattern, Yellow LED))

x 75 Protection Badges. It's the Symbol of the Police, unmistakable, anti-forgery devices, and gives wearer DR 10/+1 and SR 20.

x10 SWAT Armor, DR 20/+5, SR 50, AC +20.

x 10 Magic Keys, Unlocks any door, can only be used by Police with Benevolent Intents. Allows access otherwise barred by magic.

((The instructions contain uses on each of the weapons, The Berettas switch their powers through the safety switch, it has a few dots of various colors that when switched to, switch to the appropriate bullets. It stresses that for the Sniper Rifles to work properly, one must focus and concentrate on the Target, or else the Autozoom won't work. It recommends to have each officer practice with this for 20 hours((Not straight)) before actual fieldwork with it. The communicators have to be thought at. Really, all you have to do is focus on it for a broadcast communication, or on an individual wearing another one for personal communication. The Bombags work by thought, think about what you want, stick your hand in, and that bomb will appear at the surface, similar to how Bag of Holdings work. Most other things are automatic.

O! Last thing, the Shields(Police Symbols), are registered with a Number and Agent Title, but not their actual name. For example Rex has #12045 "Mad Dog" on his badge. Other protections exist. Anyone but the person assigned to the badge cannot touch it, or it will sear their hand, it also has the loadstone way of returning to it's assignee if lost. It has an duplicateable scrolling text that lists the Polices duties.))

After a bit of exploring Clar finally stumbles upon the morgue. It`s a large room filled with metal boxes that can be dragged in and out of the wall. After a quick check he finds out that there are two bodies here.

Hmm, I can check them out tomorrow.

He then deadtimes.

((I`m going to assume that there are some kind of preservation spell (or a freezer) in the morgue))

Ah, the DELTAs and Raneus were having an argument over whether or not this pink half-dragon deserved to be arrested, and if so, who got to arrest him...I think. :smallconfused: I showed up just as the argument stopped, apparently.

The bunny walks in. It then tries to scan the area to determine what players are watching, but gets beaten into deadtime by the vengeful fourth wall.

:smallannoyed: Lil, this may shock you, but cute and fuzzy does not equal nice. Based on what I've seen here in town, people can be overly sneaky if they want to, and most of the time, that means they have a plan in the works, and most of the time, THAT means they intend to do something bad over the course of or after said plan being put into effect. Now, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I think that rabbit falls into the 'sneaky and is trying to use us to further his own aims' category.

:smallconfused: I do? Huh. Well, still, I was right about the rabbit not being your garden-dwelling-carrot-stealing-variety rabbit, so maybe I'm right about this. Maybe I'm paranoid and this is entire business with the rabbit is just my own deluded take on things. I don't know, but I'm not so sure I trust the rabbit just yet.
