So in a previous thread I started

I was talking about multiclassing a Monk with a Ranger (mainly for flavour) and in another thread,
Battlemaster Pugilist??http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?516606-Battle-Master-Pugilist
Anyway from reading the Pugilist Class from DM'sguild I was wondering whether there would be any potentially to multiclassing these two or whether the Pugilist is too based on the Monk for it to have any synergy??
