Hey everybody. Today I talk to my friend on the phone and he's got a 65 to 75 percent that he's going blind. I was so shock to hear that. :frown:

Thank you. He told me that he was squinting too much which leads to this terrible news. :frown:

Has he sought medical advice, or is he just panicking?

In any case, if this actually is a thing, condolences - to be passed on to him... I guess?

Although I might suggest, as politely as possible but in common with some of the threads you start, that this sort of thing is an area well-served by, for instance, the Personal Woes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?437736-Personal-Woes-and-Advice-4) thread, and doesn't necessarily require a topic all of its own.

I ask if he was getting a second opinion but he said that was no second opinion there was nothing they could do until he goes back to the eye doctor to run in some more test. Also he was very calm. I don't why he was calm. I would be worry and panicking if I heard those kind of results with my eye exam. :frown:

Well I'm sorry about that. I'm just really upset and I should have mention it in another thread that Aedilred mention it already. :frown:

Personally, before offering sympathy or condolences on the basis of a third party's experience over the internet, I first demand a full dox.

To be fair to Bartmanhomer here, while this is personal information of his friend's and that is something to keep in mind (especially given BMH's less than stellar record in this regard) it's sufficiently anonymised that I don't think any harm is done. On this occasion. It has to be said, though, that making this its own thread draws a lot more attention to it and is thus a more public way to share this private information than putting it in an existing support thread would be. It is also, for that same reason, probably less likely to draw a sympathetic response. So there is a reason to post it in a support thread if one exists other than just sensitivity to board clutter.

Welcome to a Bartmanhomer thread! We have jackets, but we actually don't because old ladies at pizza places took them!

Awesome. This started sad, and in a few second it turned around. Good stuff.
