XP values for enemy adventurers

In my 2e game, I want to have an encounter in which the party faces off against a unit of level 3 wizards, one specializing in each school of magic. I was wondering what the XP value for this encounter would be, as well as where I could find the source of this information.

Use the XP table on page 47 of the DMG. Of the First Printing (the version with the dragon and wizard on the front cover (http://s26.postimg.org/v5i9xbfsp/DMG2.jpg))

Base HD is 3
+1 High Intelligence
+1 Level 2 or lower spells

So 5 HD, which is worth 175 xp each.

If they have missile weapons, or magic items usable against the party, those will be worth another HD or two.

I have nothing substantive to add, but I use that table ALL THE TIME.

It is possibly one of the most useful things in the DMG.
