Fastest Creature

I am working on a special 'project' and I would like to know the fastest creature (both land and air) in 5e. A quick google search pull up page upon page of 'fastest character'. I just want to know the fastest monster, whether from Volo's or MM, I don't care.

a quickling is probably your best place to start, their full stat block is in volo's and base speed is 120 ft.

That's kind of tricky because a lot of monsters have special abilities that modify their ability to move in a round beyond their base speed, like the ability to move as a Legendary Action or Dash as a bonus action under certain circumstances.


That said, I agree that Quickling is probably near the top of the list

A solar I think last time I used one I remember moving around 300ft a round. Other then that a think a quickling

Nice catch. Solars have fly 150. So if he was using Dash he could move 300 feet.

They can also Teleport as a legendary action (up to 120 feet) but I don't know if that counts for the OP, since it isn't traditional movement.

I know this is probably no longer useful to you but a perhaps us the fastest mount with a fly speed of 90 and land speed 60
