Only restrictions in books are Dragon Magazine and anything from 3.0. (DM is odd and considers stuff like Tome of Battle 3.0 so it is off the list) (I Know I Know)

This is a build I played around with. The primary weapon being the shield:) thoughts? Tweaks?

1- Barbarian (Lion Totem)(Rage)(Combat Expertise)(Shield Specialization)
2- Fighter (Weapon Focus-Heavy Spiked Shield)
3- Fighter (Improved Trip)(Improved Shield Bash)
4- Fighter
5- Fighter (Power Attack)
6- Fighter (Improved Bull Rush)
7- Fighter (Point Blank Shot)
8- Fighter
9- Fighter (Precise Shot)(Shield Sling)
10- Master Thrower (Quick Draw)(Thrown Weapon Trick)
11- Master Thrower (Evasion)
12- Master Thrower (Improved Initiative)(Thrown Weapon Trick)
13- Master Thrower (Snatch Arrows)
14- Master Thrower (Thrown Critical)(Thrown Weapon Trick)
15- Occult Slayer (Shield Charge)(Magical Defense +1)(Weapon Bond)
16- Occult Slayer (Vicious Strike)(Mind over Magic 1/Day)
17- Occult Slayer (Auravision)(Magical Defense +2)
18- Occult Slayer (Shield Slam)(Mind Over Magic 2/Day)(NonDetection Cloak)
19- Occult Slayer (Blank Thoughts)(Magical Defense +3)
20- ?

Bloodstorm Blade is the better route, imo

Bloodstorm Blade comes from Tome of Battle which is 3.5. It was published well after Complete Warrior.

What? Tome of Battle was one of the later 3.5 books printed.

Then I have DM that has issues:) but yeah any of the tome books he considers 3.0 so not allowed :( he's a good guy but has a specific thought for things. updated first post to clarify:)

Don't forget to slap Returning Weapon on that Adamantine (Or whatever you're using for Vibranium) Shield

Ya know, if you were using pathfinder, I would really suggest using a vanguard commander archetype for dsp's warlord. They scream captain america

A player of mine once made a Captain America build like that once. Used some of the available maneuvers to ricochet his shield around the battlefield. Is there a Tome of Battle equivalent that focused on shields?

Nope. ToB has nothing for ranged or shield users. Bloodstorm doesn't count

Make sure to ask him, the difference in years should be enough to convince him it's 3.5. Bloodstorm blade is the way to go, a prestige class found in the book.
