Animated dead against command undead

So this came up in our game past night. I had an animated skeleton and it got commanded from a wand. So I have 2 questions on what should've happened.

1. Does the skeleton follow the orders of who used command undead last, or do you use the ruling if multiple mental control effects?

2. After the monster died does the skeleton still count towards my animated pool or do I have to rebuke it to not have to use command undead every couple days.

We played it as I had to cast command undead it after he did to keep control of it.

A creature can have multiple controllers. Conflicting orders are resolved via an opposed Charisma check.

You are still controlling it via Animate Dead but you would have made some Charisma checks during that battle.

Although I am unsure whether you would roll twice(animate dead + your command undead vs their command undead) or only once(you vs them). I would rule you would roll twice on the Charisma check.
