So I gotta burr up my rear to write a novel based upon a home brew 3.5 campaign I ran. I'm being careful to avoid using any trademarked, or copyright elements, but want to maintain a heightened sense of attention-to-detail in references to the mechanics of RPGs.
If I describe a spell being cast, with all the details down to the spell components, and results of the spell (without naming the spell) have I violated intellectual property rights?
It's not a big concern, but I just enjoy having 'easter eggs' in my stories.
