I'm adding this conversation for all of you people out there with all of your amazing class ideas, I have noticed many class-themed homebrew discussions, but I have not seen one for all of them to be put into one, post your ideas here, I will too.
I can't wait to see what you all have in store, my players LOVE homebrew and come up with homebrew Classes and Races that I create, I think they would be glad to get some new ideas from the D&D community.
I will be posting some other conversations, homebrew races and homebrew monsters, so far I have not actually finish many of my ideas in that category, but I know some of you out there have some ideas for them!
Until then welcome to the world of homebrew!

If possible, most of the time posts receive better attention and subsequent review when the material is in the thread itself. I understand that doing so can be quite painstaking to post, especially entire classes. If you are wanting to create an idea pit, this may be hit or miss. In terms of a compendium or idex of homebrew, the playgrounder Twelvetrees has a fantastic index thats been updated fairly often.

As fot just getting people to post ideas to a thread, try out an approach that Ninja_Prawn has used to turns gears on some very interesting homebrew. Contests! No real need for prizes other than the "I did it"'s that come form it. Check a couple of them out and see how you feel.

Posts and threads have an Edit button too if you feel that you've made a mistake anywhere.

A solid way to build up posts to get recognized as not a computer is to provide good feedback to other peoples works. Doing so in the right way can get you recognized and respected in the best of ways.

Also, welcome the the playground mate, enjoy yourself and please be nice to others.

Probably worth subscribing to the Compendium (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?481588-D-amp-D-5e-Homebrew-Compendium-2), so you can always find it when you need it.

Yep yep yep! I do have a chat thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?493510-5e-Homebrew-Contests-Chat-Thread) where we could talk about/plan contests, but unfortunately no one really uses it. I still keep the Hall of Fame up to date, though.

If you feel like running a contest, please go ahead!

Thanks Gr7mm! That is some good advice, I will use those ideas! (also you have some exquisite writing skill going for you, I have to say)
And Ninja_Prawn, you have some pretty cool stuff going there, I can't wait to see more. (I also enjoy competing in things so I'll probably see you later)
This is a specifically Base Class focused conversation, mostly for complete new classes, not so much focusing archetypes for classes already made.
Thanks for your advice and cool stuff guys!

The jedi
