On the evening of May 2, 2016, San Francisco was quiet. A light fog was covering the city and the occasional dinging of the trolley could be heard, but all was not right in the city on the bay. Either through TV, radio, or even just passing by at the right time, ABC7 news anchor Ama Daetz signals breaking news:

"Breaking news for the San Francisco area, as a series of robberies have broken out in Westfield San Francisco Centre and Union Square. Numerous shops were smashed apart and stripped of valuable goods. We are currently trying to get a visual from our eyes in the skies, but we haven't been able to pick up the trail."

"This just in, a kind viewer sent us a camcorder video of one of the break-ins. Let us see what these criminals were doing..."

The video shows three culprits committing the burglaries. One appears to be a very large man clad entirely in red and sporting a large set of metal horns. The second looked even larger, but was naked excepting a set of briefs and the gratuitous levels of body hair and with organic horns. The third was very different, looking like an ordinary man but for the Spanish-looking outfit he wore.

"We have reports that the trio of criminals has just been spotted by police over at Pier 39. They- oh my gosh, they threw that police van into the bay! These three aren't human!"

The cameras cut to helicopter reporter, who has a bird's eye-view to the trio flinging the police around and negating all attempts at capture. The cops do not appear to stand a chance against these crooks. Who can help San Francisco with...

A lesser person would let the cops deal with the situation, probably under the guise of escorting civilians to safety.

It would be hilarious, she mutters to herself.

Instead, though, Alloy enters the scene arrayed in her armor, flying out over the bay, takes a mental hold on the sinking police van and drags it up out of the water, to set it gently down on solid ground. Then, with a slight flick of her wrist, she pops the car doors off their hinges, allowing the water (and whoever may have been left in there as it went down) to come rushing out.

Whether by fate or serendipity another hero-to-be found herself close to the location of the crime. As she heard about the crime committed within her reach Remedy's heart started to beat fast. This was it, her moment to shine; she could already see the headline in the newspaper above her countenance - "Celebrated purple crime-fighter saves city." All she had to do was beat up a bunch of silly looking villains and make sure people watch.
For a moment she considered sneaking up on them, but she had to be seen; heroes don't sneak, they boldly declare themselves and strike at evil.
Her mind made up she rushes to the scene of the crime, jumps into view of the villains and loudly declares, hands on her hips:
"Halt, evildoers! Stop what you are doing without resistance and I may go easy on you!"

It has been a long an uneventful day at the store for Tyler, that all that was on his mind at the moment was going to his apartment.

As he was on his way, he heard something happening, and it sounded like trouble, and it was pretty close.
Tyler briefly shook his head in disbelief before adjusting his hoodie to conceal his face and rushing off to see what was happening.

Tyler managed to arrive just as the police van was thrown into the bay.
Immediately, Tyler leaped into the water and swam underneath the van, hoping to catch it and lift it back onto the surface.
Before he could, Tyler suddenly witnessed the van go up out of the water and onto land.

For a moment, Tyler just floated down in the water, flabbergasted.

Today had started off so normal for Ed. She'd got up, gone to school, got bored in school, and eventually returned home with a particularly annoying assignment. Which is what led to her current situation. She was supposed to do a sketch of something she saw in the city that really spoke to her and start planning out the sculpture that would be her final for the class. The problem? Nothing really looked all that interesting at the moment. At least until she heard the commotion on the other side of the warehouses she'd been walking beside. A quick glance around revealed the street to be oddly empty. She hadn't a clue why that was, but it perfect for her as she ducked into one of the alleys between the warehouses and ran a hand over herself; Her features shifting into the form she'd chosen for her heroic persona, Caramel. The changes to her body were fairly subtle. The ones to her clothing though? Not so much. Where before she'd been wearing a rather plain pair of jeans and a hoodie, now she was left with an eye-catchingly short skirt and her usual layered top with a big floppy witch's hat perched atop her fiery mane to complete the outfit.

The sounds were coming from nearby, and she exited the alley just in time to see the van go sailing into the bay, clearly thrown by one of the weirdos in the funny outfits, only to fly back out as though someone was rewinding a tape to land near someone else. Huh, well thats a neat trick. She was just beginning to really look the situation over when a purple woman rushed out and took a suitably heroic pose and demanded surrender. With a soft giggle, Caramel sauntered over near where the armored woman was standing and reached up to scratch her head beneath her hat. "Soooo...what am I looking at here? Cause it kinda looks like some sort of crazy villainous three way date gone wrong." She cocked her head in thought for a moment before shrugging. "But considering some of my Exes I guess I shouldn't judge."

The three villains stop their rampage to look at the new arrivals, when the small one dressed in bright greens and golds with an oversized hat bursts out laughing.

"¿Esto es el mejor de la ciudad? No creo. Un caballero morado y una bruja. ¿Dónde estan los heroés de Nueva York? Saboread el acero de mi espada, heroés falsos."

With a flourish, the gaudy villain bares his sword and cape, points the sword downward in the direction of Remedy, and seems to await her attack.

[roll0]

He does not appear to be concerned by being outnumbered, and even seems to have a trace of a smile...

Meanwhile, his two large companions have returned to looting the stores. The red one looks back with a worried expression, but the hairy one is calm. Disturbingly calm, really.

Remedy tilts her head to the side, not quite sure what to make of the situation.

Come on, High School Spanish...

City, I don't believe... purple and a witch... New York... and probably something about fake heroes.

Nothing said about armor, or the guy who'd apparently jumped into the water before she picked up the van, or... the guy with all the hands. Yeah, not going anywhere near that one.

More importantly, the guy with metal on his head is completely ignoring the goings-on...

Subtly, she reaches out and snags a hold of the metal horns, turning them into a tight band that wraps around his eyes.

Caramel gives the man a bright smile as she shifts her position to rest a hand on her hip and hold the other with her finger pointing up. "Now, I don't know what you just said, but it didn't sound like an apology and an offer to give back what you took sooo..." She gave her finger a little twirl and when she spoke, it was with an odd sing song inflection. "Change" A few arcs of what looked like pink electricity traveled up along her finger to reach out into the air and disappear less than an inch from the tip, only to reappear several feet above the hairiest of the trio as a rather gaudy rainbow colored steel sculpture of the young woman giving whomever her audience a double thumbs up and sporting a cheshire grin formed from thin air; Hanging for just a moment before gravity takes effect.

Going ahead and posting the IC version of her actions so as not to hold things up.

Out of habit I made my rolls in the OOC thread, but in the future I'll go ahead and make them here for ease of reference. That said, her initiative was a rather impressive 7 and the roll for material came up with the statue being made of metal. I'm assuming that the precise extra would allow her to change the color of the steel (I did go ahead and go with colors related to the actual material since it made sense) and be able to do at least a reasonable job of making it look like a 10'ish foot tall Caramel in her silly pose

Alloy's quick manipulation twists Red Bull's horns over his eyes, and the behemoth seems to be having difficulty seeing anything.

The hairy bull charges into a jewelry store, sweeping a counter full of necklaces and rings into a large bag before exiting, snorting all the while.

Remedy's weapon is parried by the villain's blade, the hilt of which darts up to catch her in the ear. She is fast enough to block the attack, however, and avoids his reprisal.

The gaudy villain sees a new contender leaping towards him and prepares his blade.

As Tyler attempts to smash into the swordsman, his target flourishes his cape and, obscured, Tyler misses his target. He finds instead a searing pain on his brow and his vision is obscured by his own blood. The wound feels rather superficial, only concerning due to losing some of his vision. But how had he been hit? He should have been able to avoid that blade...

Tyler's vision, and so any ability checks having to do with said vision, are at -5. At the end of every turn, he can make a Will check of DC 15 to remove the condition.

The Red Bull is disquieted by his inability to see, and lashes out with his prodigious arms to catch whoever did this- but found no one there. "I'm getting out of here!" and the giant villain fled south.

As Spirit-arm descends onto the field, he misses the fleeing Red Bull, but manages to get a glancing strike onto his hairier accomplice.

Caramel's statue falls hard directly on the hairy bull. But it starts rising. A very ticked-off minotaur looks to have absorbed the entirety of the impact with his body and now is holding the very large statue up.

Her attack blocked Remedy's white eyes take on an expression of annoyance.
"Be careful with that before you put out someone's eye."
She deftly dodges one of his strikes at her.
"And who even uses swords? You look so silly swinging that thing around."
She evades a second strike with a back-flip, her skin blurring and camouflaging her form with some kind of chameleonic power as she does so. When she lands Remedy quickly shifts out of her foe's field of vision, intend to use the appearance of what appears to be an ally to make the sword-wielder lose track of her.

Alloy almost dashes after the blinded red knucklehead, the garishly dressed toreador being able to handle two people at once changed those plans. At least the arm dude got a hit in, and the witch beside her managed to do something even more useful.

Serendipitous. Thanks a bunch, Sabrina.

Flying on her disc, she passes by the bullfighter to land on the Statue, trying to get a read on where his sword is for future reference, then breaks off a chunk of the statue, turning it into strong metal cord to try and bind the Minotaur.

Alloy's chains snake down toward the minotaur, but he notices them and tosses the statue away. He looks rather miffed at having lost the weapon he was going to throw around...

"You break my statue? You will die!" The big oaf attempts to crush Alloy by leaping and crushing her under-hoof, but his hoof goes wide, shattering the head of Caramel's statue. That attack looks like it would not be fun to experience... He looks angry and much larger than he was before!

Remedy seems to disappear, and a frown shows upon the toreador's face.

Rapidly climbing onto his enlarged accomplice, the bull-fighter shouts, "Ya hemos completado nuestra trabajo, minotauro. Huye conmigo." He hangs on to the bull and brandishes his blade in the direction of the heroes.

Seeing the submarine sailing too fast to keep up, he tries to rise to the surface before his air runs out.

The first helicopter approaches Alloy, Tyler, and Spirit-arm, and you all hear a loud voice coming from speakers on it: Cease your rampage and surrender, you are under arrest.

Remedy tries to quietly slip out of her restrains. If that does not work she will just as quietly as possible pry them apart with brute force. Afterwards she absorbs the handcuffs into her belly - probably evoking either amazement or revulsion.
After this she goes even further and shapeshifts a fake pair of handcuffs around her wrists.
And all the while she quietly hums to herself.

7 hours. 7 hours did this damned monstrosity weave through the ocean, making it difficult to track exactly where you are. You are certainly north, but how far? Oregon? Surely not far enough to get to Washington at this speed. Most likely you are still along California's coast, just very far from home. You feel the submarine start to descend, and a hatch opens along the sea floor right along the vessel's path.

Do you enter this mysterious gateway?

Tyler wondered why would anybody travel so far to do...... Whatever the matador and his bulls were doing in San Francisco.
Wouldn't be easier if they committed crimes not too far from their base?!

But they have finally reached their destination, and he didn't get this far just to turn back.

Tyler repositions himself to hide and hold onto the back of the submarine and follows it to wherever the hatch leads to.

Any luck with the raid? So much money. Matador captured, Red Bull missing. Did those Inhumans capture him, or-No. It was the police, and the Inhumans surrendered as well. This could be a great opportunity to rebuild our forces and dispose of that loose end. Do we still have those inside men? Yes, I'm sure we can reach out. If they won't join us, maybe we can find someone with Whitehall's old tricks.

Tyler sees a rather ordinary mechanic who seems to have found him, but his superior doesn't seem to care. The superior has an English accent, with brown skin and scars across his face.

He has more scars than in this picture, with some arcing across the skin. In a distinctive, but seemingly random, pattern.

The Spaniard seems just as disdainful of Alloy's demonstration. Ay, you powered people think you are so fuerte, but it just covers up your lack of skill. Just like el Toro Rojo or Minotauro. La basura de Hydra is what you are. He spits on the floor between the two heroes and gives several swears.

Okay, you get an A for effort, but you're pretty green, so let me explain something. I manipulate metal with my mind. We are in a metal cage that is about to be opened by people in metal suits and carrying metal guns. We have every advantage. There's no reason to have a straight-up fight, when we can just ambush them. So first...

She takes up a chunk of the metal bench and forms it into a pair of two-by-four- like bars, each slightly shorter than the width if the doors, and melds them to said doors to bar them.

That's phase one. Keeps one guy from opening the door, gets as many of them as possible trying to open it. Phase two largely depends on where our enemies are positioned. Which reminds me...

She closes her eyes and extends her senses.

Amateur. Sniper marksmen require significant time to take position for such shots, and are designed to fire on a predestined area. The compound doesn't appear to be terribly well-lit, but flashes of red and blue mark the path occasionally.

This entrance is ringed on three sides by a building five stories tall. The compound was designed to hold prostitutes and drunkards, not inhumans. There is a 300-foot run to the fence across and we may be able to exit there. If we fail, however, we will be pursued.
