Hi all,
I am playing a lockdown crusader in a 3.5 game. My DM is saying that spring attack does not incur an attack of opportunity while I am in the thicket of blades stance. I disagree and think that I would get an AoO. Can I please get dime input on the situation?
Thanks as always for the help

Spring Attack prevents provoking movement based AoOs from the victim of the Spring Attack.

Thicket of Blade would work if you are not the victim

If you're not the victim, ToB doesn't _need_ to work because the attacker draws AoOs from you anyway.
So by this interpretation, ToB does nothing.

It's a matter of much discussion, just like with Tumble. The problem is that you have two rules that are phrased as absolutes.
It's like saying "There are two towers, and each is taller than the other. Which one is the tallest?"

--> imho can't be resolved by RAW.

P.S.: gut-wise, here I'd be inclined to give precedence to Spring Attack, since it is a higher investment (three feats) and the feat chain is crappy enough as it is.
