What This Is:
A Ranger conclave specialized around tracking and killing people

Motivation:
I'm not really happy with the current Ranger conclaves because they have a strong focus on hunting and taming beasts. Meanwhile, it is possible for you to select humanoids as your Favored Enemy. We are missing a conclave for those who would be trained to hunt down people.

This fits backgrounds where it wasn't a beast or other monster who wronged you, but a person. And as a Ranger, you have been equipped with the skills of hunting them down and getting revenge. Or perhaps you were trained as a counter-insurgent or you are a part of an anti-personnel unit by the government military, and your job was to find and subdue subversives.

While Rogues can fit the bill well with the Assassin archetype, they don't have the kind of anti-unit specialization that Rangers evoke. Besides, wouldn't it be cool to also have a class that focuses on the tracking part, rather than the killing part?

The Vindicator Conclave:

Acquired Target
When you gain this Conclave at 3rd level, choose a person, groups of persons, or organization to become your acquired target. You may add double your proficiency bonus to your Investigation, Insight, and Survival checks that are related to these persons of interest. You may update your choice once per year, upon the DM's discretion, or when your acquired target dies. Additionally, you learn one additional language when you gain this feature.

Special Fighting Style
When you gain this Conclave at 3rd level, you may unlearn the Fighting Style you gained at 2nd level for a new Fighting Style from the following options:

Great Weapon Fighting: When you roll a 1 or a 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.

Mariner: As long as you are not wearing heavy armor or using a shield, you have a swimming speed and a climbing speed equal to your normal speed, and you gain a +1 bonus to AC.

In Their Head
When you gain this Conclave at 3rd level, you gain the ability to decipher an enemy's tactics and develop a counter to them. As a bonus action, you may force a creature you can see to make an Intelligence saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency modifier + your Wisdom modifier). On a fail, all weapon attacks you make against that creature have advantage until the start of your next turn.

Acute Strike (for Revised Ranger)
Beginning at 5th level, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, once per turn, you may add 2d6 to your damage roll. This damage increases to 4d6 at 11th level, and 7d6 at 17th level.

Why no Extra Attack?: Because this conclave is more in line with the Rogue than the Fighter, it does not get an additional attack. Instead it takes the Rogue's path where it has one attack but can deal several attack's worth of damage. The damage is also calculated to make sure that a Rogue X/Ranger Y multiclass always produces less Sneak Attack damage than a straight-classed Rogue.

Read and React
At 7th level, when a creature targets you with an attack or spell, you may use your reaction to force them to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency modifier + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, the creature must choose a new target or lose the attack or spell. You may use this feature after the attack, but before the outcome of the roll is determined.

Five Steps Ahead
Starting at 11th level, when you use your In Their Head feature, you may subject any number of creatures to its effect within 5 feet of a point that you can see. Additionally, you may use your action to make one weapon attack against each creature affected by your In Their Head feature if they are within your weapon's range.

Intelligent Defense
At 15th level, when you use your Read and React feature, the target makes their saving throw at Disadvantage.

Rangers use Wisdom more than Intelligence; I'd encourage you to make the Save DCs Wisdom Based. Other than that, I don't see any problems.
