A Pain Psychic (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/occult-adventures/occult-classes/psychic/) gets Live On, which is Lay on Hands at your psychic level -3. It explicitly stacks with lay on hands abilities gained from other sources.

A VMC Paladin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/character-advancement/#Paladin) gains the ability to lay on hands a number of times per day equal to 1/2 her character level, healing as much as a paladin of her character level – 4.

Since they explicitly stack, does that mean you add them together into one big pool of lay on hands? Would a level 20 pain psychic with VMC paladin have 18+cha uses of lay on hands that heal 16d6?

As written I'd say yes, both the number of uses and the strength of each use would stack. It's a powerful healing ability but 5 feats is a steep cost.

Thanks, Psyren. Could anybody else weigh in with their thoughts? I'd like to get more opinions. I haven't seen this build anywhere else, but it has even more healing than the typical Oradin + VMC Cavalier of the Star build.

That's some pretty strong healing. As long as you don't mind the feat cost, it's good.

Honestly, with full casters like the Psychic, you can basically do whatever and be fine as long as you make good spell choices.

Not exactly; Live On's LoH is self-healing only, and they don't get Life Link like the Oradin either, so the Oradin still wins at the "healer" role. You can mimic this with things like Shield Other but it doesn't work quite as well as what the Oradin gets.

VMC Paladin's LoH changes the LoH to be usable on allies. Since they stack into one pool, that means Live On's LoHs can be used on allies too. You're right about Life Link, though.

Wonder how well this would do as a healer when combined with the Scar Seeker (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/s-z/scar-seeker/) prestige class.

Still not quite. Live On stacks with Lay on Hands, but nothing says the reverse is true, if that makes sense. In other words, you can use the VMC Lay on Hands to fuel your Live On uses because it says you can, but nothing in Lay on Hands says that the uses from Live On count towards that ability. So the self-only Lay on Hands stacks, but the regular one does not.

Losing half your CL is not nearly worth any more lay-on-handing, and you definitely don't have the feats to spare patching it with PS.
