[3.5] Rope Dart Reach While Enlarged

So my rope dart normally gives me a reach of 15 feet, and I was forgeting that the weapon enlarges as well. Would that actually make me have a new reach of 30 feet(10 Natural + 20 from dart)?

If you have sources for the rules that would be great as my DM requires sources.

RAW is silent on irregular reach weapons.


Normally:
Characters have a base reach (also known as natural reach) that is mostly size related. Large size is 10ft. (Regular) Reach weapon operate between double your natural reach and your natural reach. (10ft < X <= 20ft).

Ideally the irregular reach weapons(Ex: Awl Pike) would have language about operating between triple and double your natural reach (20ft < X <= 30ft) however the editors missed that interaction.


So show your DM the reach rules in 3.5(reach is based on size and reach weapons double that range) & the Rope Dart weapon. They will need to make a ruling.

It's not really silent on it. Unless otherwise specified, all reach weapons fall under the general rules for Reach, which state that it's simply Double natural. This is backed up by the Balor entry, which is wielding a Whip (also a 15 foot reach weapon), but is listed as having a reach of 20 with the whip ,the norm for a Reach Weapon for a Large creature. Thus, the 15 foot reach is a special case for medium creatures.
