View Full Version : Optimization How to Optimize the UA Artificer Alchemist?

How would you Playgrounders go about optimizing the Alchemist? The idea I've come up with so far is Rogue 3 for Thieve's Fast Hands allowing us to fling something as a bonus action. That's about it. I kind of want to go Hobgoblin, but High Elf, V. Human, and Feral Tiefling are all good.

Hobgoblin is a great choice, but certain DMs might not let you get away with fast hands synergy, since it would become an issue if you're healing an ally or dealing xD6 damage as a bonus action _and_ getting an attack with possible sneak attack, even if it's only another 2d6 damage.

That being said, you might as well go alchemist 16, rogue 4 if you want the most out of your damage/healing formulas, since with three level of rogue, you'll miss the next damage progression at 19 anyways.
