It is a irrefutable truth that dragons are awesome. However, you may have noticed that when you are forced to use a dragons alternate form ability, they become far less formidable, and ultimately feel less like dragons.
I propose a (relatively) simple solution. Use this whenever the normal alternate form ability would be gained.
Alternate form (Su): Three times a day, A dragon may take a medium sized bipedal form humanoid or monstrous humanoid. No matter what form they choose, they appear to be a half-dragon of there type and the race that they selected (though they gain wings even though they are only medium sized), unless this effect is modified further. Due to this, Alternate form does not give a bonus to disguise checks Unlike effects like polymorph, dragons using alternate form retain there racial ability modifiers, supernatural and spell-like abilities gained due to there race as is, as well as a natural armor bonus reduced by there size modifier (if it would normally decrease there AC).
This means that you don't have to stat them, you can just keep there stats from there dragon form.

Always looking like a half-dragon pretty much negates the reason for using Alternate Form in the first place.
